Previous account disappeared edit

My previous user name was Sognid'oro. I was told not to edit further because of suspected COI regarding Cash Peters' page. In fact I am just a fan of his who hoped to improve the page, he knew nothing about it, except that he refused permission for me to post a photo. I am not asking to be allowed to edit again but wonder if it Would be possible to remove the reference that it reads like an advertisement and that someone close to him appears to have been a major contributor. The beginning part that smay have seemed like an advertisement has been changed now. The reason I a Sk is that I saw him ridiculed for it on a forum, and have now owned up to being the one responsible. Help please! Colombabianca (talk) 18:36, 17 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi! The article may read better than before, but I still see a few issues that would prevent me from removing the "reads like an advertisement" tag. In some ways, the article still does read like an advertisement. This is not an exhaustive list, but here are some examples of sentences that sound more promotional than encyclopedic:
  • "This is an informative and amusing account of the author's trip down the river Rhône with a group of friends, taking in the tours along the way." - Who says that it's "amusing"? Is the fact that it's "informative" and "amusing" widely reported in third-party sources? We're not a product review website, we just write about the facts as they're reported by reliable third-party sources.
  • "Peters is a gifted intuitive handwriting analyst." - Why does this not say "Peters is a handwriting analyst"? Are his giftedness and intuitiveness widely reported on?
  • "He has demonstrated his gift on the TV shows" - same thing with the "gift".
See WP:PEACOCK for an explanation of what I'm talking about above. I hope this helps! Feel free to use {{help me}} again if you have further questions. Cheers, Nick—Contact/Contribs 19:09, 17 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

{{|help me}} edit

Many thanks for reply and yes, I take your point. Guess I should have asked for advice before embarking on the whole thing. Where do we go from here? Would I be allowed to change it or would it be for you to so that' ? Many thanks for help. Colombabianca (talk) 20:39, 17 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Although I'm not familiar with what happened at Cash Peters, I would suggest looking at the welcome links above. SwisterTwister talk 21:21, 17 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Help me edit

Thank you for your help. I have made some changes to the article, removing superfluous adjectives.I hope this is sufficient for you to consider removing the two tags in question. If this is not the case please advise what I should do.Many thanks. Colombabianca (talk) 20:51, 19 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
