Speedy deletion of Wikipedianoma edit

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages such as Wikipedianoma, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Colin Godsey edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Colin Godsey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Readro (talk) 22:29, 6 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Colin Godsey is not the appropriate place to post information about yourself, because it is in the part of Wikipedia where encyclopedic articles are written. A "userpage" at User:Colinrgodsey, however, is available for personal information about yourself. When adding personal information please remember that Wikipedia is not a social network such as MySpace or Facebook. Your userpage is for anything that is compatible with the Wikipedia project. It is a mistake to think of it as a homepage: Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, or social networking site. Please see Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:User page for more information. James John Liautaud edit

Yes, I put the whole thing up in one go, but I was working on it for a while before I put it up, on a word document. But thanks for the compliment. I am at a loss, however, to understand why it sounds like an advertisement and would like to take the tag off, but I am not sure what to do. Do you have any ideas?Retiredstrategist (talk) 07:53, 6 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Not sure about the advert tags, but I've yet to hear any discussion on why it should be there, so feel free to comment on the talk page! Best we can do is request for comment, if nobody has anything, tag can be removed.Colinrgodsey (talk) 13:00, 6 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
