Request for Assessment in Biographies edit

Your request at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Biography/Assessment#Requesting_an_assessment is hard to assess because it's redlinked. Maybe a typo?--Doug.(talk contribs) 18:11, 7 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey, sorry. If I'd looked I would have seen the article referenced on your userpage. You'd missed an "i" in the link, I fixed it and I'll take a look at the article.--Doug.(talk contribs) 18:15, 7 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
I noticed that you asked for peer review, you created the peer review page, but you forgot to add it to the peer review lists. I added it, but where it's not a B class article yet it may not get much of a review. I'll take a minute though to add a few comments. I edited one item on the page and added a {{refimprove}} tag which is the big item I see is keeping this from being a B-Class article and probably ought to be your focus. It's a good article otherwise.--Doug.(talk contribs) 20:32, 7 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Doug for the nice compliment and helpful suggestion. I have added page citations for my one reference (the only one in English). The web sites mentioned within the article are there to clarify words rather than to contribute to the biography. What I can do is to add a paragraph that explains why so little information is available on this important (history's opinion, as well as mine) artist. --Clhowson 19:19, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

In regards to your question on the Incorrectly Tagged articles, I honestly don't know what that means, I can't see to figure it out myself :/ I'll ask around. Wizardman 19:06, 18 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks much! edit

I started the Toyohara Kunichika article two years ago I think. My little sister is currently in Japan and I'm interested in East Asia. However I admittedly didn't know much of the artist so just did a start based on things I found. You really seemed to have gotten the ball rolling on him and I'm impressed. You're a better editor than I, good job.--T. Anthony (talk) 15:42, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image source problem with Image:Actor_Red_Face.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Actor_Red_Face.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:14, 3 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 07:14, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Toyohara Kunichika GA nomination edit

Hi, you can just keep future correspondence in the GA subpage itself because I will always be watching that page :) Gary King (talk) 19:29, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Kunichika.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Kunichika.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 02:02, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

NowCommons: File:KunichikaActor.jpg edit

File:KunichikaActor.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:KabukiActor.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:KabukiActor.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 03:56, 2 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
