Hi

Your fix to Synthesis

Looks good! The main thing people forget (and I mean even long-time editors) is to check back a couple more versions to be sure you have caught all the vandalism. Just today one experienced editor saw this happen to another, and pointed it out to them. But my main fault is how slow I go - I'll compare the differences using the "Compare selected versions" on a couple different pairs of versions before I think I've figured it out. You'll see a couple examples of sneakiness if you look around more. (Don't go bananas like me, though. I go mad for finding which IP adding that 'not' that made nonsense of a statement, just to see if they've done it somewhere else also ;-)   ) Shenme 22:06, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

3 revert rule

I think I just broke it on a Harry Potter page. I wasn't aware of the rule. I'll stop now. Claudia 20:47, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that is a serious consideration. -- John Reaves 21:13, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes, as an administrator and experienced user, I am fully aware of the 3RR and it's ramifications. -- John Reaves 21:22, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your message

The comment as originally posted included a link to Grindelwald. If you follow the link, you will see that it clearly does not go to the page that the editor intended. In these limited circumstances, I believe it is considered acceptable to modify someone else's comment. I would certainly not object if I were the commenter, and I have seen other editors make changes like that in the past, including where my own comment was edited. The key point, of course, is that it's only a technical correction. I would never dream of altering the substance of what another editor had said. Marc Shepherd 19:57, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

It wasn't my comment. There is a redirect on the page it did go to, which I think was sufficient. But if the user in question doesn't care, I don't. Claudia 20:01, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Harry Potter roll-call

Hi there. Your username is listed on the WikiProject Harry Potter participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Your name has therefore been moved to a "potentially inactive" list. If you still consider yourself an active WikiProject Harry Potter editor, please move your name from the Potentially inactive list to the Active Contributors list. You may also wish to add {{User WP Harry Potter}} to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the Inactive Contributors section. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project you may move your name to the Known to have left section. Many thanks.
