Selwyn's Rock edit

Hi, welcome to wikipedia.

I just fluked upon this article you started. Can i suggest you move it to a new article at Inman Valley, South Australia - this is a broader topic more suitable for an article (all current content can be maintained).

Keep up the good work

Also have a look a WP:ADEL if you want to find out about writing about Adelaide

File copyright problem with File:Toora_wind_farm_DKC1.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Toora_wind_farm_DKC1.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris 00:52, 29 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

NowCommons: File:CrystalBrookSilos.jpg edit

File:CrystalBrookSilos.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:CrystalBrookSilos.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:CrystalBrookSilos.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 00:33, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

External links edit

Hi, re your addition of an external link[1] to your own site on Evaporative cooler. Please note that adding links to a site that your run may be considered promotional/spamming. In addition, self published sites are strongly discouraged due to the lack of verifiability, that is to say, the author of a self published site needs to be a noted authority on the subject for the link be used as a reference. If you think the link merits inclusion, to avoid a conflict of interest, you should bring the link up for discussion on article talk so that other editors can come to a consensus on whether it should be included. Thanks. Mfield (Oi!) 21:29, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

External links edit

Every man and his dog has added an external link there - the Nullarbor Plain article is not an external link farm - please readup on what WP:EXTLINK is actually about - cheers SatuSuro 00:24, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Indeed. I've also removed your external links at Kangaroo Island and Armagh, South Australia. Graham87 06:57, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Painters of the flinders ranges edit

The article Painters of the flinders ranges has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No claim of WP:NOTABILITY

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nat Gertler (talk) 00:09, 4 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:IanRobertsWrenOnCoastalBanksia.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:IanRobertsWrenOnCoastalBanksia.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:46, 21 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Gleeson Wetlands edit

Hello, Clarkecb. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Gleeson Wetlands, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 19:10, 13 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Gleeson Wetlands edit

Hello, Clarkecb. I removed the PROD on Gleeson Wetlands because you objected. In general, anyone who objects to a PROD can simply remove it; no other action needs to be taken except in the case of biographies of living persons without any references. But I am still not convinced that the Gleeson Wetlands deserve an article. I don't think they meet the general notability guidelines. Are there any independent (that is, NOT self-published, like facebook pages and blogs), reputable sources that have provided coverage? The article in the Northern Argus seems pretty slight. In your reply to the PROD, you said you thought that the Wetlands would be important in the future, but Wikipedia is not a crystal ball; things should only be included once they are notable.

Since you objected to the PROD, I'll probably start a formal deletion discussion, but I thought I would start by discussing it with you. Any chance I can convince you to either provide stronger references (if they exist), or withdraw the article? ubiquity (talk) 21:12, 13 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps the Gleeson Wetlands article should be placed in the Clare Valley article? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clare_Valley
