Welcome! edit

Hello, Chpiedra, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Reliable sources edit

As you are a student in a WikiEd course, permit me to provide some (hopefully) helpful feedback. You have added a reference to this Google Sites page on the Mills v. Board of Education of District of Columbia page. Wikipedia's guidelines on reliable sources would discourage the use of this source. It is a self-published page by an author of no specified expertise in the field. Instead, please rely on sources published through peer-reviewed journals, or at the very least, through websites known to practice a degree of editorial oversite. Martin Musbach, the author of the Google sites page cited, could write anything he likes on his page; we'd have no idea if anyone of any legal expertise had reviewed his writings to ascertain whether his analysis or conclusions have merit.

Apologies! I didn't realize that source existed prior to your edit and was not used by you. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:17, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
