Non-profit vs not-for-profit edit

Hello. Regarding your edit to Bisphenol A, you might want to be careful when changing not-for-profit to non-profit, although in this case, it was appropriate since the organization described was actually a non-profit. There are differences between the two when referring to organizations. Torinir ( Ding my phone My support calls E-Support Options ) 12:39, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Not a problem. Many people think they're the same thing, but there are some major differences. Non-profits cannot give money to individuals or for-profit companies. Not-for-profits can do so. There are other differences, but many of them stem from this major one. Torinir ( Ding my phone My support calls E-Support Options ) 14:15, 19 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
