You might like to have a read of what I've posted at Talk:George Brandis, which explains why I revertd your insertion. It is not an objection to the subject matter, but in a biography of a living person, there will need to be stronger, and independent, sourcing of the material. How about i just go for an smaller entry to start with -
In early 2013 Brandis was prominent in the media for his views on free speech and media regulation.
I can give 9 references to articles and video relating to Brandis' views on free speech and media regulation.

- Something based on those sources may work, though I think the sentence should be more specific about what those views are / were. Why don't you post a proposal on the article talk page, with some references listed, and I or other editors could check it out and help work it into the article? - What you just added is better, that's great, but the last part cannot only be cited to Brandis, because it refers to his outspokenness, which others must assess.
