Your recent edits edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 17:06, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adoption edit

Sorry, I'm full at the moment. I'm sure there's someone in Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User/Adoptee's Area/Adopters willing to adopt you. Also, when posting on talk pages, it's generally a good idea to put the message at the bottom of the page. Feel free to ask me any questions! *Cremepuff222* 22:08, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:.308 Norma.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:.308 Norma.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:05, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

.224 Weatherby image edit

I rolled back your changes on the .224 Weatherby Magnum article, since the image link you provided didn't work. Feel free to fix it with a real image, that'd be great. Maybe you made a typo in the name or something. AliveFreeHappy (talk) 17:53, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re:Licence tagging edit

The license tag you add is dependent on the media you have uploaded.

Generally, you should not upload images from other websites or searches through Image search engines, as it is most likely subject to copyright. copyrights are adhered to internationally.

In rare circumstances, you can upload copyrighted (known as "non-free" on Wikipedia)images on a fair-use basis, provided it enriches the article and does not deflect or imitate the Author's business. The most likely of this type is a copyrighted logo, which should always be provided in low-resolution. For these, you MUST fill in a fair-use rationale in order to host the file on Wikipedia. Most photographs and diagrams you find on the internet would not be appropriate under any tag.

The safest way to upload media to Wikipedia is using those in the public domain or published under a free license. Therefore anything you make yourself, or anything anyone else has and has released it publically, or published under a free licence (such as the GNU Free Documentation Licence). When these are published, these kind of licenses are often made clear. Therefore it is advised that you re-create any non-free images if its possible to place them into the public domain. Since Wikipedia is also hosted on US-based servers, you can also upload images who's author has been dead 70 or more years under public domain.

See HERE for information how to use appropriate image right tags on Wikipedia. Hope this helps, /Marbles (talk) 20:17, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Worth 1000.PNG edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Worth 1000.PNG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.
