Your username edit

Hello. Your one edit so far was unusually helpful, and you're most welcome here. However, your username suggests that you are related to a website, cebe.cc -- and when I visit cebe.cc my suspicions are reinforced. What you've written so far has in no way promoted cebe.cc, but it's likely that your further edits may, however unjustifiably, bring such criticism. (For more about usernames, see Wikipedia:Username policy.)

Can I ask you to abandon this username and pick another one instead? On your new user page, you would of course be very welcome to say that you previously edited as Cebe.cc, that you run cebe.cc (if you indeed do so), or both. -- Hoary (talk) 00:14, 8 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Hey Hoary, I normally register with username cebe, but that one has already been taken, sadly by someone who does not seem to be contributing anymore. So I simply added .cc as I did somewhere else in the same case. cebe.cc is my homepage but I do not intend to promote it in any way and can not think of how an edit might promote my website. Also in case of something like cebe.com I'd understand more why this could be a problem, but cc might not be known as a tld to most people. I'd like to stay with this name, I am not trying to do anything evil here so I can't see a problem. bests, CeBe (talk) 21:59, 15 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
