Hello Carl, I believe that rather than creating unfinished pages (which need a lot of copyediting and which contain comments from you) directly as articles, you should create them as user supbages and work on them until they are ready to "go live". Of course, this is no guarantee that a page doesn't get deleted because of its contents or lack of relevance, but at least that way they don't get deleted for "not being articles" when created.
