edit

The article creator indicated he made a duplicate entry (per log on Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk). He was trying to get one of them deleted, and thus blanked it. --Cahk (talk) 10:10, 1 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I reverted my undo. CarelessWombat (talk) 10:11, 1 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

December 2018

edit

Hello, I'm Wtmitchell. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Shrek (franchise)— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 10:28, 6 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hey Wtmitchell, I think that was an error. I reverted your RollBack just in case. Check your talk page for more info :) CarelessWombatLet's Talk! 10:35, 6 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Talk:Neo-medievalism

edit

Do you find it odd the nominator of the RfC has an edit history that looks like this? Not typical newbie. Also mention the policy and guideline issues raised were never addressed by the spliters. IMO this was at best a NC when you weigh the strength of arguments based in policy and guideline. -- GreenC 21:25, 6 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Dear User:GreenC Yeah, it's pretty odd. I'll make sure to reference wikipedia policies next closure. Have a nice day. CarelessWombatLet's Talk! 21:29, 6 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hope you know what you are doing in regards to this topic! Most people do not. -- GreenC 21:52, 6 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
This was my first closure, I'm trying my best!! CarelessWombatLet's Talk! 22:08, 6 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
If you don't mind, would you revert and wait for a more experienced editor or admin to close? The nature of the topic is difficult, the RfC nom is an SPA, and the policy and guidelines raised in the RfC need to be addressed either by the other participants or the closer. -- GreenC 15:59, 7 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
No problem CarelessWombatLet's Talk! 17:00, 7 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Antivandal Tools

edit

Hi there, I saw your post on Swarm's page, In addition to Huggle, you can also try WP:Stiki that is another tool that uses a different algorithm. Who knows it might be more suitable to your liking. Thanks for your good work. cheers. --DBigXray 17:02, 8 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hey, User:DBigXray. Thank you very much for your suggestion. I found that STiki was providing me with a much better queue. I'm going to try and see if there are any settings on Huggle that might be able to make it suit my uses better, and if not I will most likely use STiki full time. Thanks, again for your suggestions. CarelessWombatLet's Talk! 03:36, 9 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
On STiki, I believe you can change the Queue and decide which one works best. (Same with Huggle), Basic principle is Most blatant vandalism will be on top of the queue and will be shown first, as you make your way by processing the queue, the vandalism will be less obvious and more like good faith edits, which should not be reverted and left for page watchers who are better expert on the content to decide. Glad to hear that my comment helped you in some way. cheers. --DBigXray 09:54, 9 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
