Greetings,

Please refrain from posting live scores for the 2010 Copa Libertadores their related article. Only post scores and scorers when the game is final. Thanks. Digirami (talk) 23:27, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why? Caot89 (talk) 00:38, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
WP:Footy policy. It also keeps things simple. Digirami (talk) 02:39, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I don't see where it says that I can't post live scores... actually, I noticed that live scores are posted when Champions League or Europa Leguae games are going on so why wouldn't I be allowed to post live scores for the Copa Libertadores? Besides, it doesn't complicate things as long as I put the proper information in, right? Thanks.Caot89 (talk) 02:34, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Simply put, "breaking news should not be emphasized or otherwise treated differently from other information" according to WP:NOTNEWS. Since live scores is breaking news and is italicized, and therefore is treated differently from other information, it violates that Wikipedia policy.
