Guideline and policy news
- Phase I of the 2024 requests for adminship review has concluded. Several proposals have passed outright and will proceed to implementation, including creating a discussion-only period (3b) and administrator elections (13) on a trial basis. Other successful proposals, such as creating a reminder of civility norms (2), will undergo further refinement in Phase II. Proposals passed on a trial basis will be discussed in Phase II, after their trials conclude. Further details on specific proposals can be found in the full report.
Technical news
- Partial action blocks are now in effect on the English Wikipedia. This means that administrators have the ability to restrict users from certain actions, including uploading files, moving pages and files, creating new pages, and sending thanks. T280531

Miscellaneous
- This may be a good time to reach out to potential nominees to ask if they would consider an RfA.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in May 2024 to reduce the number of unreviewed articles in the new pages feed. Currently, there is a backlog of over 15,000 articles awaiting review. Sign up here to participate!

Because of some unprecedent allegations made against me, my rollback and PCR is revoked upon my request. I thought I will be semi-active for some time and relax from Wikipedia. I have decided to get the rights I was given in 2024 Feb-Mar. I promise not to violate the policies. I faced no objection on my work as of now. - (Non-administrator comment) Unprecedented? No. Hat collecting happens all the time on Wikipedia. FWIW, no one asked you to give up your existing rights.

- Here we go again. You see nowadays, I only edit on politics-related articles. This has nothing to do with my "hat-collecting" or whatever, and I am not abusing the rights, (as far as I did not got any objection). Because 2024 Indian General elections are going right at the moment, I may be busy in creating articles and watch if any vandals has messed anything or not. I thought I may need the rollback and PCR, for the help. Rest is upto the admin and I will not escalate further. ☮️Counter-Strike:Mention 269🕉️(🗨️ ● ✉️ ● 📔) 10:22, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
