List of countries by ecological footprint edit

You appear to have updated it by the "biocapacity" and not the "ecological footprint". Bolivia has 2.4 ecological footprint. Its biocapacity is 19.3. Jolly Ω Janner 21:27, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have now updated it with ecological footprint data. Thanks for the help. Jolly Ω Janner 01:36, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Thanks, I have checked through the data you added to the article against the PDF report. I also found that it's the same data as the Excel document, so it'd be better to just use the PDF as the sole source for the article rather than a mixture of Excel and PDF. I cannot find, however, the ecological remainder data in the report. Where did you find the data for it? Jolly Ω Janner 22:52, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
    • Its simply the Eco footrpint minus the biocapacity per person for the nation CK6569 (talk) 20:47, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
I think you mean biocapicidy minus ecological footprint ;) I put the stats into Excel so it would do all the maths for me and check it against the current stats in the article. Most were right, but there were a couple where I think they were rounded down when they should've been rounded up i.e. 46.65 = 56.7. Jolly Ω Janner 22:18, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of New World Map edit

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on New World Map requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Splittist (talk) 17:21, 29 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Encyclopedia of the Stateless Nations edit

The article Encyclopedia of the Stateless Nations has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not assert significance, no third party sources

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Splittist (talk) 15:31, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Coat of arms of stateless nations edit

The article Coat of arms of stateless nations has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article is essentially an image gallery with almost no text content, with original POV judgements about which "nations" should deserve states.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

List of countries by ecological footprint edit

Care explain what this edit was about? I originaly reverted it, thinking it was a test edit by someone unfamiliar to Wikipedia, but then I saw your other edits and realised you were trying to transclude the page onto another one. See Help:Template#Noinclude, includeonly, and onlyinclude for help. Jolly Ω Janner 16:33, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

The same information (and basically word for word) was posted in two places. I was just trying to keep the repetion of text to a minimum CK6569 (talk) 16:31, 28 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Okay, cheers for updating the data. I'll get round to updating the map too. Jolly Ω Janner 17:26, 28 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
