A tag has been placed on The IGAP, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

school newspapers do not warrant their own article unless notablie in their own right

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. - Tiswas(t) 15:37, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:Beltline_map_large-1-.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Beltline_map_large-1-.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Template:LargestNigeriaCities edit

Hi. Are you sure that this template is the best way to present the information? Taking the ten largest cities in a country and grouping them together in a template seems a somewhat arbitrary basis for a template. Instead of presenting this information in a template, do you think it might be better off by noting the entries on List of cities in Nigeria as being among the ten largest in the country? Picaroon (t) 03:19, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

What do you think of what I've done to List of cities in Nigeria? Would this work better than a template in your opinion? Picaroon (t) 03:32, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I presume you're talking about Image:United States Administrative Divisions Cities.png, and I agree something like that for Nigeria would be nice. I'll see if I can make one or find someone good with graphics to do it. If you're okay with using bolding on List of cities in Nigeria for now, would you mind if I removed the template for the time being? It can always be readded if necessary. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. Speedy deletion of Template:LargestNigeriaCities edit

A tag has been placed on Template:LargestNigeriaCities requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>tranclusionless</noinclude>).

Image copyright problem with Image:ACMS Wolves.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ACMS Wolves.jpeg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

 • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
 • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Ifa-stub edit

Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first!

North Atlanta High School edit

Example

Hi! See if you can get a picture of the school with the words saying "North Atlanta High School" visible. Thanks! WhisperToMe (talk) 03:47, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

The front entrance to the campus should have the words "North Atlanta High School" either on the side of the building OR on a sign next to the main entrance.

As an analogy I have this photo. I am not saying that you should remove the other photo - I am just saying that I would like for you to take a second photo :) WhisperToMe (talk) 02:43, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image source problem with Image:Wole Soyinka.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Wole Soyinka.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:09, 17 September 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 01:09, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Image:North Atlanta Campus.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.google.com/maps. As a copyright violation, Image:North Atlanta Campus.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Image:North Atlanta Campus.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

 • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Image:North Atlanta Campus.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
 • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:North Atlanta Campus.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
 • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Image:North Atlanta Campus.jpg.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 01:17, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notification of automated file description generation edit

Your upload of File:A home on hillside ave.jpeg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process.
