Speedy deletion nomination of Carola Insolera edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Carola Insolera requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from https://plus.google.com/114169856964687314715. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Carola Insolera edit

the page of carola should not be deleted at all. recently she had been interviewed by several magazines about her deafness and how it benefits her modeling career. all of them are printed, not online and are in italian or spanish. therefore, i just created this link to give credit to this amazing model (translation in english is provided)

Status and Advice edit

As an administrator, I had to delete the article. three reasons: 1.Being interviewed is not really a sufficient indication of importance 2. The article was promotion -- in seems designed to promote her career 3. It was copied from another source, which is never permitted. DGG ( talk ) 19:35, 17 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

@DGG: 1. i met her in person at milan fashion week. she is deaf from deaf family. despite the very competitive environment, she never uses the voice to communicate and never brings an interpreter. she is in no doubt the biggest inspiration i’ve ever met. please see this clip: https://vimeo.com/99778361 2. promotion? i personally saw the GRAZIA reporter approaching to her, purely by fascination. it is the way she communicates with everyone of us by hands and gestures and is touching everyone's heart. 3. can you please explain me this part, i am not sure to get it?

frankly, as a make up artist, i never understood the importance of having a deaf model until i met her. it does affect big time the way we all are working and the way we interpret each pose the models make. having a wikipedia article on her will help people understanding her mission in bringing diversity and sign language in the fashion industry.

I'm sorry, but your personal knowledge is not a factor. The purpose of an encyclopedia is that when something is already notable, people who want information about itcan go there and find it. For something not yet notable, that ought to become notable, that's an occasion for use of publicity resources. DGG ( talk ) 04:10, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

@DGG: deleting this valuable information, no diversity or sign language in the fashion industry will come that soon - it is like blocking her voice that represents the several young generation of deaf FEMALE models. have you checked nyle di marco? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyle_DiMarco -

There is no way you can improve this content to g write an acceptable article until there are references providing substantial coverage from third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements. The various websites used as references are none of them reliable for this purpose. You need newspaper or magazine articles in recognized periodicals, print or online. You are trying to do publicity for her. WP is an encyclopedia , and encyclopedias do not do that. There's no point in asking me further until then. DGG ( talk ) 04:54, 19 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
