New welcome message edit

Your new welcome message cracks me up. :) I guess I'll have to give you a WikiCookie for that. Sango123 23:16, August 19, 2005 (UTC)

Images edit

Hi, I need some help. I'm from portuguese wikipedia and I make there some articles about NASCAR (drivers, tracks, teams), but is so hard for me to find images to illustrate these articles because many os images here and I found at some websites are copyrighted and portuguese wikipedia does not accept this. If you know some free sources of images I will be very gratefully.

Thanks - Sorry for english. --Asmactic 17:37, 20 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for nominating Lupin edit

I discovered his WP navigation popups through your RfA nomination of Lupin. Anyway, the tool he has written is really cool. Incredibly useful. People willing to show this kind of support for Wikipedia should be honoured, so even if he doesn't reach admin status because this place has become so politicised, we should make sure we show gratitude for his contributions. thanks for the welcome! edit

that's probably the most useful welcome message i've seen on any wiki.  :) Piranha 21:43, 21 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the welcome! edit

Thanks for the welcome, and your comments about my additions to the Georgia RR and A&WP pages. I think I'm started to get adicted to this Wikipedia thing. :-)

Adminship edit

Brian: Thank you for supporting my nomination for adminship. I received many votes from editors that I encounter frequently, which is re-assuring, but I am honoured that you and others that I don't know through Wikipedia saw fit to support the nomination. The admin powers will enable me to patrol for vandals more effectively, amongst other things. I promise to use my new powers for good, and not to inflict the retribution on my enemies that they so richly deserve, as tempting as that may be. I hope that you had a good break. ;-) Thanks again, Kevin. Ground Zero 13:07, 22 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

HappyCamper's RFA - Thanks for your support! :-) edit

Hi Brian! Thanks for voting on my RFA. I recently became an administrator, and I wanted to let you know that your support is greatly appreciated. It was especially meaningful for me to get a vote from a Wikipedian that I hadn't got to know better yet - I hope that in the future we'll get a chance to collaborate on something - whether it be article writing, or more administrative tasks. Feel free to leave me a message if you ever need an extra helping hand!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that you were the person responsible for uploading the Von Kármán vortex street and the SEM images of the Snowflake to Wikipedia. These were some of the images that made me really want to contribute to Wikipedia, and certainly contributing to it has been a rewarding experience. Thanks again for your support - and I'll see you around Wikipedia! :-) --HappyCamper 02:04, 24 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Sam Hocevar's RfA edit

You mentioned an associat with the GNAA on Sam Hocevar's RfA. Could you be more precise (descriptions would be nice, diffs would be nicer), either there or on my talk page. Thanks. --fvw* 22:16, August 24, 2005 (UTC)

Oh, and could you please reconsider the usermessage bar at the top of your page? I like my conditioning on such things, and fake ones are rather annoying. --fvw* 22:18, August 24, 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for your support edit

Thank you very much for your support in my request for adminship, even before I was able to answer the candidate questions. :p I'll be a good admin! Coffee 05:11, 25 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism! edit

Where do I go to report?

Currently, User:Sjakkalle has been vandalised. Looks like the same person who vandalised Template:Jews and Judaism sidebar so that it's currently protected.

Thanks and admin links edit

Thanks for the admin nomination for the doggedly pursuing my detractors while I was busy! I thought I'd also let you know that I've added a feature you requested to the popups script: admin links. If you set popupsAdminLinks = true; then you should see them after a refresh. Let me know if I've missed anything... Lupin 21:42, 1 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem edit

Hi, I believe that an image you uploaded for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis that came from a government website was actually ripped off from a commercial website. You can see my reasoning on the article's talk page. Mr D Logan 03:41, 13 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
