Thanks for taking the time to create this article! I've added some extra info on the history and status of that distance and moved the article back into the mainspace so people can read it   Thanks! SFB 22:09, 13 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Much appreciated. Still learning my way around here. I wanted to add more still when I can work on it. Brent Severnie (talk) 12:18, 14 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Run for the Lakes Marathon edit

Please stop messing around. If you don't know how to deal with a merge then let someone else do it. Don't leave your personal comments on the merge page or the talk page, and don't blank the existing talk page comment. Meters (talk) 19:15, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Oh messing aroundd. OK. What gives my man? What should be on a talk page for a redirect? Grades?
You removed the notice of the AFD and the resulting merge. You also removed the notice of the removal of an image. As I said, if you don't know how to do a merge than let someone else do it. You clearly don't know how to do it as this is not the only mistake you made. Meters (talk) 19:20, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ok. Thanks for your help. What is the rest of it?
You did not leave the required attribution for the material you merged (I have done so), you did not sign or create a header when you left your comment on the talk page (I've fixed that), you left an inappropriate comment on the redirect page (I have removed it), you left several inappropriate edit summaries or posts about your opinions, you have made multiple unsigned or incorrectly signed talk page posts, and you merged the entire content of the original article. It was up for deletion, and the close was to merge it rather than to delete it outright. That doesn't mean that we copy the entire article (with all of the problems that led to it being put up for deletion in the first place) into the target article. We now have an article of which 80% is the flawed coverage of the race. I will significantly trim it. Oh, and you also managed to mess up the header levels somehow. We certainly don't need a top level header "Prizes". Meters (talk) 20:06, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
You also did not create the required fair use justification for the non-free logo used. That justification has to exist for each article it is used in. I have removed the entire infobox so the fair use justification is no longer needed (and the now-unused image will itself be deleted eventually. Meters (talk) 20:55, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
I didn't add any images. I'm not sure what you are talking about.````
Thank you for the other tips though! I'll remember this for teh next merger that I try. Keep up the good edits and strong deletes!````

May 2021 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Talk:Run for the Lakes Marathon, did not appear constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Leave it alone. We do not remove the notes about the deletion discussion and the merge. Meters (talk) 19:16, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Seems liek this could be one comment, my man. But how about we leave the notes and delete the grades.
I've already done that. Perhaps you should look first. Meters (talk) 19:22, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
And please sign you talk page posts. Meters (talk) 19:22, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Shoot. Got to change it back then. ----
Got it changed back now. You're good at this! We should collab on something. What do you want to do next?User:Brent
Please leave it alone. You messed it up again. Just don't touch it. Meters (talk) 19:35, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
And please sign your talk page posts properly. You are not User:Brent. There is no such user. Just add ~~~~ to add your signature and an automatic time stamps. Meters (talk) 19:37, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Where do you find those squigglies, Metres??````
Top left of the keyboard, or one of ht ebuttons in the normal editor window. Meters (talk) 00:38, 30 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
It looks like you have the right key but are not using the shift. Meters (talk) 00:40, 30 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
