Welcome and an invitation edit

Greetings, Brandonk2009 and welcome to Wikipedia! I've noted your comments on the issue of using James Valliant and his book The Passion of Ayn Rand's Critics as a reference, and would like to invite you to continue the discussion at this centralised location. Thanks and a note on citations edit

Hi, Brandon. First off, thanks for all your helpful edits recently and for joining the Objectivism wikiproject. I noticed your recent edit on the page number cites for the Anthem (novella) page. The standard for this type of citation is to use 'p' if the reference is to a single page, and 'pp' if the reference is to multiple pages. There's more info on the citation template at Template:Harvard citation no brackets if you're interested. Anyhow, I just fixed it on that page, but I wanted to bring it to your attention because there are a lot of similar reference notes on pages related to the project, and I'd hate to see effort wasted on a misunderstanding. And as I was writing this, I just saw your message to me, so you're welcome! --RL0919 (talk) 16:37, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yeah. I realized what I was doing with the citations, and tried to revert them. =)
Yep, overlapping edits. Looks like your reverts worked and the system ignored my edits. A little weird, since usually there is an "edit conflict" warning, but maybe that doesn't apply if the edits match one another. --RL0919 (talk) 16:42, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Periodicals articles edit

Hi Brandon. I reverted your edit on Objectivist periodicals because the material you added was already in the article. It was just in a section that consolidated all the discussion of article reprints in one place, rather than having it separate for each magazine.

Also, regarding the prod you added on The Ayn Rand Letter, the idea has been to merge the articles, not to simply delete them. The difference being that with a merge, the old article titles will be re-pointed to Objectivist periodicals rather than becoming red links. If you disagree with that approach, let me know, but it seems to be what folks support in the cross-talk discussion. The only reason I haven't followed through to complete the merge is because I wanted to give a chance for objections to be raised by anyone who follows the individual articles but not the cross-talk page. --RL0919 (talk) 04:49, 10 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

How to PROD an article edit

Please don't use {{dated prod}} directly. In stead, please use {{subst:prod|reason}}. This will add all the correct parameters to the dated prod template. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 08:11, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
