Hello WikiDan61! First off, thanks for your contributions on my first article. You addressed two main problems which I would like to fix, however I have a few questions.

First off, you mentioned that there was a content fork in this article. I tried my best to differentiate this one from similar articles by including not only the role of women, but the role of men. I also tried to include how the relationship between the two plays out. This was something that I did not see when reviewing similar articles. If the articles were to merge, what would happen to this article? (sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm somewhat new here). Also, what things can I do to preserve and better this article on its own?

You also commented on my sources. While I agree that most of my sources are Jewish women, I tried to find objective information within their articles. I looked not so much at their personal experience, but the larger societal trends that they were speaking about. However, even this is still susceptible to bias. So, how can I fix/better this aspect of the article?

Thanks for any guidance you can provide me! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brandenlevine (talkcontribs)

I don't believe you have really captured much that is significant about the role of men in Judaism. It appears to boil down to the single paragraph:
In addition to this, there are also roles in Judaism reserved specifically for a man. Jewish men are expected to take the leadership role in most aspects of their lives. This is seen when Adam is appointed ruler, "...over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and over the animal, the whole earth, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth" (Genesis 1:26). Due to this being in the Torah, it sets the guideline for standard Jewish male behavior.
This could be seen as just another aspect of the role of women in Judaism (if men are to take leadership in most aspects of life, then one can assert that women are to not take leadership). Rather than striving to improve this article, I would recommend that you look to the existing Women in Judaism article, and expand it as you feel necessary (relying, as always, on reliable sources).
To answer your specific question, if we merge the articles, than any significant information from your article that is not already included is moved into Women in Judaism. When that process is complete, your article is changed to a redirect to the Women in Judaism article. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:56, 18 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Do you think that I could solve both of these problems by adding more about the role of men in Judaism to the article?

I think this is a discussion for a wider community than just the two of us (especially considering my non-Jewish background). I will make a note at Talk:Women in Judaism regarding the merge proposal, and hopefully gain a wider engagement in the conversation. I also suggest that any further discussion of this matter occur at Talk:Gender roles in Judaism so that the discussion is available to the wider community.
