Greetings!
My name is Ryan, and it's my pleasure to welcome you, Brambo, to Wikipedia! First of all, I'd like to thank you for joining the project, and contributing to articles and discussion. I hope you can continue to take part in Wikipedia, because we need more valuable editors like yourself.

If you are new and need some assistance, here are some great links to check out:

I hope you enjoy editing here, and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, find out where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Before I go, here's one more tip. When you post on talk pages, be sure to sign your name and the date by typing four tildes: ~~~~. That automatically generates your username and the date. Again, welcome, and happy editing!  --Merovingian (t) (c) (e) 12:28, 22 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Album titles and links edit

G'day, Brambo. Well done getting infoboxes into the first two Ultravox album articles, I was planning to get in and clean them up so that's saved me a bit of work. However I note you've also changed the style of album titles on a few articles to remove italics; in fact italics is the Wikipedia standard for album titles (see WP:ALBUM) as well as for films and novels, among other things. Also, when putting in links to non-existent articles, consider the likelihood of anyone writing articles for the subjects in question; for instance under Systems of Romance, Robin Simon will probably justify his own article (I may get round to doing a stub for him myself) but Dave Hutchins may not be so likely (unless you'd like to do the honours). Anyway, those are a couple of minor points, pls don't let me discourage your continued editing of Wikipedia...! Cheers, Ian Rose 14:16, 25 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ok thanks, I didn't know that bit about italics, as for those links: I like to link to everything that seems just a bit remotely important. Now I don't know who the heck Dave Hutchins is, but he's a producer for Ultravox so in my book that makes him a bit important. Thanks again, Brambo 17:30, 25 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I thank you profusely edit

for adding to the Academy (band) article with a concise and accurate discography. Your contributions are very much appreciated.  :) (Krushsister 01:20, 14 September 2006 (UTC))Reply

Thanks, no problem :-) I saw your post on the NWO and thought it was a great idea. Too bad one operator here thinks it isn't and has deleted the article :-(. I say we make a new and better one. Brambo 12:49, 14 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
But it's not deleted anymore! Not while the debate goes on, anyway. It is so great that you're a fellow NWO regular/Wikipedia editor. I would love very much so for us to collaborate on a "new and better" article. I'd love to be able to remember where exactly I got my first taste of Academy so I could go over to that site and ask whomever the MikeP equivalent of said site is, so that they can assist us in this endeavor. Do you happen to know of other NWO-like places? We could at least try to recruit assistance there on those forums. Anyway, thank you ever so. p.s.: It would be awesome if they actually did a national tour (that would totally give them the cause to stay here on the 'pedia). That might be one of our first questions. Grateful *hugs* from me. (Krushsister 05:14, 16 September 2006 (UTC))Reply

Cease and Desist... edit

...Your edits of Igor Smirnov's page. If you think that nicknames of world leaders needed to be cited as fact, I suggest you disabuse yourself by viewing Nicolas Sarkozy's page, particularly the following statement:

"His nickname, "Sarko", is used by both supporters and opponents." You will find that there is no citation beside it, and why should there be: if such things were needed, virtually every sentence on Wikipedia would need to be cited.

Stop your vandalism of Smirnov's page, please. Immediately. It is threatening to destroy all the good you have done for the Wikipedia community. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jrule (talkcontribs) 22:45, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

When I google for "Sarko", I get loads of hits about Nicholas Sarkozy. It is also mentioned in the references of the article. "Dubya" is actually cited at List of United States presidential nicknames (check all the citations for all those nicknames there!). However, when I google for 'Smirnov santa' or similar queries, the only relevant hits are wikipedia quotes of the statement. This leads me to suspect it is not true. Of course, it is entirely possible your nickname for Smirnov was translated from Russian, Ukranian or Moldovan, but please provide some evidence for this. If he is really known like that it's bound to show up in some local source. If there is no souce for it, he is either not known like that, or the name is used so little it is not relevant for Wikipedia. I must therefore remove this statement once again and would appreciate it if you didn't re-add it without a proper source for it. Thanks. Brambo (talk) 12:10, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Namibian general election, 2009 edit

Hello, I noticed your edits on Botswana general election, 2009 and I thought you might interested in helping expand the Namibian general election, 2009 article. The election is at the end of November but no one besides myself has done anything with it. Thank and keep up the good work!--TM 14:20, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'll look into the election every now and then and see whether I find something for the article. Brambo (talk) 14:22, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ian Khama photograph status edit

The picture of Ian Khama that I posted I am pretty sure is an official picture from the Government Communication Office that was also used in various publications, including the Times of London (where I found it). It is available for non-commercial use, unless I am mistaken. Themoodyblue (talk) 03:06, 23 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Before calling well known and videotaped words "slander" you should go and get yourself informed. Because the one who is slandering me is yourself. The fact i didn't add a source to Kokoity biography which hasn t been digitalized it doesn't mean mean it's a lie. Kokoity words are videotaped anyway and can be found in videos in Youtube or others. You seem not to know about anything this people. There are well known facts about him. Wikipedia has rules and a source must be added, but this doesn't allow you to call other editors liars. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.58.27.200 (talk) 15:54, 6 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I see you continue with your slanders and lies against other users and against reliable sources with journalists and writers. This is the last warning, after that a request of permanent block will be filed. This kind of heavy slanders is against Wikipedia policies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.58.27.200 (talk) 13:13, 9 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mikhail Logua edit

The article Mikhail Logua has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. joe deckertalk to me 15:25, 3 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
