Copying within Wikipedia edit

You did not identify the source of the material in your edit. It appears to be Cyprus. Copying within Wikipedia is acceptable but it must be attributed.

This type of edit does get picked up by Copy Patrol and a good edit summary helps to make sure we don't accidentally revert it. However, for future use, would you note the best practices wording as outlined at Wikipedia:Copying_within_Wikipedia? In particular, linking to the source article and adding the phrase "see that page's history for attribution" helps ensure that proper attribution is preserved.

While best practices are that attribution should be added to the edit summary at the time the edit is made, the linked article on best practices describes the appropriate steps to add attribution after the fact. I hope you will do so.

I've noticed that this guideline is not very well known, even among editors with tens of thousands of edits, so it isn't surprising that I point this out to some veteran editors, but there are some t's that need to be crossed.S Philbrick(Talk) 16:18, 4 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

That cypris map is my own work. i have created it and it's free of use Bourenane Chahine (talk) 18:43, 4 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I am not a veteran editors, i am new to the work of editing and creating Wikipedia articles, so my work is still far for being excellente and without any flaws, i want to also thank you for you suggestion. Bourenane Chahine (talk) 18:45, 4 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

April 2023 edit

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. — Czello (music) 08:55, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have only been defending my self, against user "Ash-Gaar" baseless accusation and obstruction of my work for the better good of Wikipedia, i have nothing to be blamed of or accused of, and i am proud of my work here. Bourenane Chahine (talk) 09:01, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
I could 4 reverts in the past 24 hours, and another 2 just outside of that. So yes, you can be blamed or accused of that. That's enough for a block already, so I recommend you slow down. — Czello (music) 09:04, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
know that "Ash-Gaar" have been reported for being and "edit warrior" and the same can happen to you if you keep destroying my work and without any valid reason.
the rules apply to anyone, you included.
do not edit my work for more than 3 times. Bourenane Chahine (talk) 09:03, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
do not edit my work for more than 3 times. I have no idea how you can say this when you're well over the 3 revert limit. — Czello (music) 09:04, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
If you guys dislike my map that much, suit yourself, i will not post it again. it will only harm those who don't know where those countries are situated not me, and not you. do whatever you want. Bourenane Chahine (talk) 09:08, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Images in infoboxes edit

Hi, thank you for your contributions! Please be aware though that images in infoboxes only need the filename, not the full File: template, as per WP:IBI. Thank you. -Kj cheetham (talk) 12:43, 14 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the information! i didn't know that, i hope that my way of putting images and map doesn't bother you! Bourenane Chahine (talk) 19:19, 14 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
It's not a big deal. :-) I think I've already fixed most of your previous ones; they get flagged up at Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. -Kj cheetham (talk) 19:23, 14 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Haha thank you! sorry for the bother! Bourenane Chahine (talk) 19:31, 14 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Japan Acquisition and cross-servicing agreement (ACSA) edit

Hello Bourenane Chahine,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username CoconutOctopus, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Japan Acquisition and cross-servicing agreement (ACSA), for deletion, because there's already a page about that topic at Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement. Please don't be discouraged; we appreciate your effort in creating new articles. To avoid this in the future, consider using the search function to find pages that already cover what you want to write about.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|CoconutOctopus}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

"This is an incredibly serious charge. Do not make another unblock request until you can present your specific, objective evidence of this. This must include your prior disclosure on Wikipedia that you are an Algerian Muslim and your specific evidence that Ponyo targeted you because of this. If you are unable to do this, this is the end of the line for you here on Wikipedia"
To reply to that comment, i have already said before on Wikipedia That i am an Algerian Muslim go see the history of the lades2222 user page talk i said several times there that i a Muslim And Algerian.
Though i do apologise of course that i used several insult against another users on Wikipedia and for engaging in editing war, i just love my country so much! my grandfather fought against the french colonisateur to liberate it against the french! i don't want it to be tarnished by my unislamic behavior! i do suffer from anger issues and mental illness (OCD and paranoia) i do take medications to heal my self, i can provide the evidence though a private method of communication if necessary.
that why i was being unnecessary agressive. Bourenane Chahine (talk) 22:23, 24 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
"Though they phrased it incorrectly, their appeal is based on attacks made on them by Lades2222, not me. They traded the insults tit-for-tat and both ended up indefed. -- Ponyobons mots 22:24, 24 April 2024 (UTC)"
i read that on your Talk page, i am sorry i am an arabic/amazigh person, English isn't my primary language nor natif one, i speak french and Arabic better Bourenane Chahine (talk) 22:25, 24 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Good night (: Bourenane Chahine (talk) 22:31, 24 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
it's despicable if the user lades2222 isn't permanently blocked from Editing in Wikipedia for engaging in a war of edition and using "homophobic slurs as well and racist slurs " and insulting me several times! he gasligted me and told me to get therapy!. he trolled like hell! he even wanted to use a Sockpuppet account to evade the IP ban! Bourenane Chahine (talk) 22:40, 24 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
It just so happens that Lades2222 is indefinitely blocked -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 03:21, 25 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
You are not blocked because the blocking admin targeted you for being an Algerian Muslim. You are blocked for the horrible things you wrote about Lades2222. I guess we'll just add that foul and baseless accusation to the list of personal attacks you need to address -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 03:27, 25 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Please read User:Tamzin/Guidance for editors with mental illnesses. Thanks -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 03:39, 25 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
