Sarah Hegazi edit

Hi, this is to let you know that the arabic version of the article was nominated for deletion and was deleted for lack of notability. I am working on expanding the article here to come back with a bang on ar.wiki. I would like to thank you for your engagement and edits and hope you can still take the time to improve the article. ~ Elias Z. (talkallam) 08:33, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi ~ Elias Z., I've been following what's happened to the Arabic language page - Majd Al-shihabi ( مجد الشهابي ) has been addressing it on Twitter. Unfortunately I couldn't get involved in the deletion discussion because I've never edited Arabic wiki. It's my understanding that the calls for deletion are largely based on homophobic sentiment masquerading as 'objectivity'. I will definitely be continuing to work on the page -there is a clear public interest in her life, and it is vital that Wikipedia represents people who are (evidently) being erased. Thank you also for your work, feel free to get in touch whenever.Boredintheevening (talk) 10:16, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

How may I contact you, I need paraphrasing advice? ~ Elias Z. (talkallam) 06:24, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi ~ Elias Z. , I've enabled the email feature so you should be able to get in touch through that? I feel that the edits that C.S has been making recently continue to undermine the issue. Hope I can help with phrasing. Boredintheevening (talk) 19:57, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dilar Dirik edit

Do you or don't you want to nominate Dilar Dirik for deletion?

I ask because (i) despite an edit summary reading "AfD: Nominated for deletion; see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dilar_Dirik", you haven't created this AfD discussion; and (ii) you have instead continued to edit the article.

Please hurry either to create the AfD discussion or to remove the template pointing to this. -- Hoary (talk) 08:46, 7 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for nudging on this and keeping standards up. Did it all in a rush and should have followed procedure better. It was all resolved earlier today. Have a good weekend!Boredintheevening (talk) 20:41, 7 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yup, it was deleted, to the delight/relief of all involved. Which is rather unusual for an AfD. The weather forecast's good so I think I'll spend Sunday away from my computer; I hope that you can do the same (unless of course you enjoy being glued to yours rather more than I do to mine). -- Hoary (talk) 07:57, 8 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
