ICSMFC edit

Hi there. The article was deleted as it failed to assert notability. For English football clubs this means playing in the top 10 divisions of the football league system or competing in the FA Cup and FA Vase. ICSMFC clearly doesn't qualify, hence deletion. The fact that it competes in a competition which has an article does not matter; leagues and cups are considered notable at a lower level than clubs. Unless you can verify your claim that the United Hospitals' Challenge Cup‎ is the oldest cup competition in the world (starting in 1869 - which contradicts all evidence regarding the FA Cup) then I will delete that article too as it gives not claim to notability either.

Sorry if you feel that your contributions are being ignored, but we have policies regarding the importance of the subject matter. You are more than welcome to contribute to other football-related articles though; Category:English football club stubs is a good place to start! Regards, пﮟოьεԻ 57 11:47, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I did consider that. However, the article could not be improved because the subject matter is clearly not notable. пﮟოьεԻ 57 11:50, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Whilst the trophy itself might be notable, it would appear that the competition is not. Even so, as mentioned above, even if a competition is notable, this does not mean that clubs participating in it are. No offence, but you are not going to change my mind on this subject.
As for the article about the cup, please provide some references, or that will be deleted too. Regards, пﮟოьεԻ 57 13:17, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
This is not really a constructive edit, and such facetiousness does not exactly help improve the article. There appears to be no evidence to support the claims, so I am going to delete the article. Sorry, пﮟოьεԻ 57 13:35, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
If you find any articles which do not meet notability criteria, please WP:PROD them too. пﮟოьεԻ 57 15:24, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Do you have a problem with that? Perhaps you should read WP:CIVIL. пﮟოьεԻ 57 15:44, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. United Hospitals' Challenge Cup edit

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article United Hospitals' Challenge Cup, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of United Hospitals' Challenge Cup edit

An editor has nominated United Hospitals' Challenge Cup, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/United Hospitals' Challenge Cup and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 09:59, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
