Welcome to Wikipedia edit

Let me offer you a belated welcome! You appear to have gotten off to a mixed start at creating articles. As you can see, I've approved your article about Dario Altieri, but your article about Dr. Canton was not approved, for the reasons shown above. Further, your article about Meenhard Herlyn, D.V.M., D.Sc. has some issues I'd like to discuss with you.

  1. We don't put honorific titles in article titles. See WP:MOSNAME. For this reason, I have moved the article to Meenhard Herlyn.
  2. I'm a tad confused. Herlyn is listed as a D.V.M. (a veterinarian), yet you have written about him as a physician, a term generally understood to refer to doctors who treat human patients. As far as Herlyn's research is concerned, the difference may be a small one, but I think it would be best to describe Herlyn as either a veterinarian, or simply as a researcher, to avoid confusion.
  3. The article relies too heavily on the Wistar website, which is considered a primary source (i.e. one closely connected with the subject) and therefore, not reliably neutral on the subject. More secondary sources are needed. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:01, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello,

Thanks for your suggestions. Yes, I am relatively new to Wikipedia, so I've been going through similar pages to see which ones might serve as good templates for what I'm trying to create. In the meantime, I have found additional secondary resources for my article so that it is less reliant on the primary resource of The Wistar Institute website. Please let me know if the changes I've made help. Thanks!

Hi. Just out of curiosity, since you seem to be creating mainly pages about people who work at the Wistar Institute, do you have some connection to this institute? If so, please read WP:PSCOI. Jinkinson talk to me 18:04, 18 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
