Trellis LMS article

you deleted my article without giving me any way of improving it based on another users false claims about reasons why it should be deleted. Many other articles are currently and have been in far worse violation of wikipedia's requirements, yet they remain untouched. --Shaddyz (talk) 22:45, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I listed for deletion an article that contained only a deletion tag and had no edit history. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 22:46, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
To clarify, I was the one who originally added the speedy tag, and was in the process of replacing it with a PROD tag. However, the article got deleted in the meantime, so my edit ended up re-creating the article, with only the tag. Oli Filth(talk) 22:50, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Well I do not know who deleted it nor can I access any history. Luckily I copied the contents to a file on my computer. What can be done at this point? --Shaddyz (talk) 23:00, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
This user: Oli Filth seems to be targeting me, he is also trying to remove a logo I uploaded. And why aren't he administrators thoroughly reading the discussion and providing the author with feedback before deleting articles? --Shaddyz (talk) 23:08, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
"Targetting" you? You mean, by nominating the now-orphaned image for deletion?
As for what to do with the article, you could try re-creating it once you've located appropriate sources that demonstrate the subject's notability (see the Wiki policies WP:V, WP:RS, WP:N). Alternatively, you can work on it in your user-space (see WP:UP#SUB) until it's ready to be reintroduced to the article space. Oli Filth(talk) 23:14, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
The logo you uploaded is listed for deletion for a very simple reason: the page does not say who owns the copyright of that image.
As for deciding whether or not you should recreate the page, may I direct you to Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies), Wikipedia:Verifiability, and Wikipedia:Spam.
My article should not have been deleted while articles such as this are acceptable: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claroline and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KEWL.nextgen. As for the logo, the page did say copyright 2007-2008 Learning.net, the fact that you are not looking is no reason for deletion, the copyright notice is also listed on the website from where it came. Furthermore, deletion is not the solution, the solution is to solve the issue. --Shaddyz (talk) 23:21, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
OK. My bad. The logo is listed for deletion because it is an orphaned non-free image. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 23:39, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Yes, well, that brings me back to the beginning that the article should not have been so quickly deleted when the person who tagged it admits that it just needed better sources. And there are hundreds if not thousands of articles here with absolutely no sources that are not being removed. Why not remove them all? --Shaddyz (talk) 23:47, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Not only did the article have no independent sources, it didn't in any way assert the notability of the subject. A Google search revealed practically nothing, indicating that a verifiable assertion of notability would have been hard to achieve.
Incidentally, "similar stuff exists" isn't a justification for an article's existence (see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS). It's true that the articles you cited above are equally unreferenced, but that's a matter for their respective talk pages. Oli Filth(talk) 23:56, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
I was not justifying my article. My point is to show to you that you have ignored other articles, but insist on removing mine even though I was making much more of an attempt to be factual and unbiased in the article in the intention of informing interested people about the software. I would really appreciate you helping rather than inhibiting my contributions. What benefit do you get from my article being deleted? --Shaddyz (talk) 00:05, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
I noticed the article because Learning management system was on my WP:Watchlist. I nominated it for deletion because I was fairly sure that no verifiable reference for notability would be found. Oli Filth(talk) 00:26, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
In that case, for the sake of your integrity, you are obligated to request that every other article about a learning management system which does not meet wikipedia requirements be deleted. --Shaddyz (talk) 00:34, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Not sure if that was tongue-in-cheek, but I'm not obligated to do anything of the sort! (Although I may take a closer look at the two articles you mentioned earlier.) Incidentally, I suggest that any further discussion on the matter should be continued at your talk page rather than here, as I'm sure User:Blanchardb doesn't want his/her talk page bloated with this! WP:Military History

A tag has been placed on WikiProject Military history/Essays/Declassified documents, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a user page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a regular Wikipedia article rather than a user page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. I, Basketball110, did not place this template on the page. Basketballoneten 18:04, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

-This is what it said: "This page may meet Wikipedia’s criteria for speedy deletion. The reason given is: It is a redirect to a user page, user talk page, or talk page from the main/article space. (CSD R2) Speedy concern: It is a redirect to a user page, user talk page, or talk page from the main/article space. (CSD R2)

If this page does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice." So the page meets WP's criteria for speedy deletion. Basketballoneten 18:13, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

So what's your problem? --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 18:15, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
It just said on the Military page "it is suggested that this template be put on the authors' page," and when I looked at the pages edits, it said you created the page, so I put the template on your page, and that's that. Basketballoneten 18:21, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Placeholder pages

Hi. You wrote: "Hi. I noticed that in the edit summary of your creation of the Robert Marsham article you stated that you were creating a placeholder article. The article looks like anything but a placeholder to me. However, I just want to tell you that per Wikipedia policy on blank articles, placeholder articles are deleted on sight."

You imply that a placeholder article means a blank article. It doesn't to me; a placeholder both marks the need for something and contains enough to suggest an outline of the need (notability) --- this including the basic facts that are part of the basic notability. I put the man's birth, importance as initiator of a category of natural history study, and a link to the article on that subject, at which (incidentally) the link to him became blue not red. I put in the stub macro, and reckon that this is a justification for the article existing and being allowed to remain until someone has time for his date of death and a concise biography. This isn't blank but is a placeholder because I haven't been able to find any more about him this evening, which is when he has first come to my attention as notable (because he founded phenology). I am not convinced that this is exactly synonymic with the Wiki term "stub" as that seems to persist on some quite long articles. Iph (talk) 19:03, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Iph

Well, what you posted is a perfectly valid article. I just wanted to point out that it is not what most people would call a "placeholder." --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 06:09, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

A Little Problem

A user Blofeld of SPECTRE is bothering me. He created an article Ottrott and I put an article for proposed deletion tag on the article and on his talk page, because I believed the article had no purpose. It only said that it was located in France. he removed the whole tag, I told him not to, I told him that I would report it to an admin and he says the following :

"Right and what is an administrator going to do, sack me? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 23:57, 26 January 2008 (UTC)" .

This was said by Blofeld of SPECTRE after I told him not to and I told him I would report it to an administrator. I didn't want to revert it and he revert it back, so I thought I might as well tell you.

I hope you deal with this problem seriously. Thank you and have a great day! Warrior4321 00:10, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Blofeld of SPECTRE has created articles like that by the hundreds, all of which are valid stubs. When I do newpage patrol and I see his name, I just ignore his entries. I know they are valid. The tag you used was for a proposed deletion, which means he was within his right to remove it (unlike a speedy deletion tag). If you disagree with the removal of a PROD tag, the next step is to initiate an Article for Deletion discussion. There are three steps to that:
  1. Insert the template {{subst:afd}} in the article.
  2. Start the discussion page with the {{afd2}} template from the template you just inserted.
  3. List the discussion in the AfD log by adding the appropriate {{afd3}} template to it.
  4. Notify the articles creator with the {{adw}} template.
As I can see the article has been expanded quite a bit since you first listed it for deletion, however, I guess that in this situation there is nothing left for you to do but move on to other concerns. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 06:28, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Frostburg State University Police Department

Hello! Just so you know, I removed the delete tag you placed on Frostburg State University Police Department. Frostburg State University PD is as notable as any other law enforcement agency and is a part of List of law enforcement agencies in Maryland. I know that you put the deletion tag in good faith (as a few have done before you with some of the smaller PD articles that I have created). However, I have been working very digently on Wikiproject Law Enforcement (particularly those agencies in Maryland) as you can see on my list of creations. If you have any questions on the notability or the relevance of this or any other article that I have created feel free to contact me! PS, I apologize for interpreting your redirect as vandalism, I didn't see any reference to it on the Frostburg State University link is why I assumed it to be vandalism. Happy Editing! Apology accepted. Please be aware that your article may still be marked for an AfD discussion, though, given that it is part of a Wikiproject, I will not initiate the AfD myself. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 23:08, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Just a friendly heads-up on Carl S. Bates. I removed the speedy request you added 1 minute after the article's creation to give the creator a bit more time to expand the article. It seems this is a typical newbie article, created over many edits, and I'd like to avoid WP:BITE. In my edit summary I said I was going to prod it to give the creator some time to show notability, but they've already added a second ref, so I'm going to hold off on that. After they've had a chance to improve the article a bit, if you still think it needs to go feel free to prod or take to AfD. Thanks! --Fabrictramp (talk) 22:12, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

I've been away from WP for a while and am currently resurrecting a page about Paul Lewis. Perhaps you could help. How do I change the top (title) to remove the typo in "Ontario". Perhaps that's not even the best title -- there's several Paul Lewises. When I first put up the article about two years ago, there was just this one. Barry Wells (talk) 03:05, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Just do a page move. Click on move and type the new title where prompted. I would have made the correction myself had I not felt that this person does not pass the guidelines put forth at Wikipedia:Notability.
Because of the nature of the typo, after you perform the page move, you may want to consider going to the redirect page thus created and add {{db-redirtypo}} at the top, to delete an unnecessary redirect page. To get to the redirect page itself (the one with the typo), just type : before its name in the search box. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 03:13, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Julio Bermejo

I would ask that you please restore my new page about Julio Bermejo. He is a very important person in the world of tequila. I tried to explain in the article, and provided links to some major publications in english that he has appeared in over the last few years. I did not elaborate more on the nature of his business endeavors for fear of the article being deleted as marketing/pr, which it is not.

I respectfully ask that you read one or more of the news article links that I provided and so you can understand that he is definitely important enough to have his own page. I am sure that over time me and other wikipedians can help flesh out more exact details of Julio and update the page accordingly. I feel strongly that it is very important that Julio's significance in the world of tequila appreciation be documented as such.

Thanks for your consideration.

I've written a few paragraphs on Marc Rudov and I will go no further until you remove the notability tag because I don't want to see my work deleted if Wikipedia decides the Rudov isn't sufficiently notable to deserve and article. The info I've provided thus far should give readers a fairly good idea of who he is and what he stands for. LuisGomez111 (talk) 01:21, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Julian Price

That sure was a surprise to me that you determined Julian Price was not notable enough within 1 minute of the time I put up the new article. I listed approximately 3 dozen positions he is associated with in large corporations, banks, and insurance companies as well as other large organizations (i.e advisor to the 1939 World's Fair and the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University). I have expanded the article further with his Fortune 500 insurance company information. I'll be working on it the next couple of days and expanding it further, since there is much information on this very large insurance company. The Julian Price Memorial Park was made in his honor with the Price Lake developed on the Blue Ridge Parkway which happens to have the largest campground on the Parkway and is the largest recreational area developed for public use on the Parkway. I believe he is notable and worth an article. --Doug talk 00:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I'll copy this to Blanchardb.--Doug talk 02:08, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

FYI, today around noon Julian Price Memorial Park and Julian Price was selected as a double DKY. I have recently written an article on Blue Ridge Parkway tunnels that today I self-nominated for a possible DYK. If you have any suggestions or improvements for the article, please feel free to forward. --Doug talk 18:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Bonjour

Bonjour Blanchard. I saw the tags you added to Islamic contributions to Medieval Europe. Could you be more specific about your request to change Islamic to "Arab"? As far as I know, "Arab" refers to an ethnicity, and does not encompass Muslim culture as a whole (northern Africa is not "Arab", neither is Iran, nor Turkey). On the contrary "Islamic" refers to the Muslim realm as a whole. I think "Islamic civilization" is an expression which is extensively used. Would you have more precisions? Regards PHG (talk) 06:45, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I see that the article has been expanded quite extensively since I tagged it. But the problem is that using the term islamic here gives the impression that these contributions are a direct result of Islam as a religion. Maybe middle Eastern could be a better choice of words. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 12:40, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Why was the following deleted, it is not vandalism

Why was the new line of text which i originally typed at the following link deleted?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaconda_(disambiguation)

I did not vandalise it. I went to see if there was a Wikipedia page for the Australian camping and adventure superstore and there wasn't so i put something in the Anaconda disambiguation page. See http://www.anaconda.com.au/AboutUs.aspx if you don't believe me. It's not extreme advertising and it's not vandalism. Many stores have wikipedia pages. I ask you kindly if you could please undo your changes and reapply what i originally typed. Also, why did you delete it in the first place, what rules does it even break?

Please Clarify

Hello,

I have posted one of the players who links off of the 1961 Memorial Cup link, Duncan MacDonald. Each time I try to post the information, which is easily verifiable both through the links I updated in the article and via newspapers and more, I get messages saying that I cannot post this, it has no signifigance or that I am now going to be banned? Please clarify this as I don't understand how this is insignifigant considering it is all factual and certainly is a valuable and requested piece of information of that era of hockey in particular. Just so you know, that era of hockey laid the groud work for what is the St. Michaels team today and of many years past since.

I appreciate it.

Thanks for noticing the page so quickly, but please at least give me a chance to finish adding the first round of information for it before marking it for deletion :) World Tapir Day isn't a joke, it isn't insignificant, and it does play a role in raising the profile of tapir conservation. By your own admission, it isn't insignificant. That's reason enough not to include it in Wikipedia, regardless of all other considerations. Please do not confuse nobility with notability. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 14:13, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

The fact this encyclopedia can contain a lot more stuff than a "traditional" encyclopedia such as Britannica is not a free pass to add articles on everything that ever existed. There are notability criteria. You must also provide reliable sources. You might want to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 20:16, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

1541 Ultimate deletion

Can you please atleast tell me WHAT is wrong about my article on the 1541 Ultimate before you delete it without discussion, so I could improve on it? What kind of community is that? If you consider it irrelevant: Do you know how many articles on c64 peripherals there are already right now on Wikipedia?? - DeeKay64

Your complaint shows that you didn't even bother to read the article before marking it for quick deletion. a) The 1541 ultimate is not "a chip" but a cartridge for the Commodore 64 b) It is not "historical" but is shipping right now in April 2008, as the article clearly stated..

You may argue with notability, but I've checked the rules on Deletion policy, and none of the 12 points under "Quick Deletion criteria" are valid for my article, and no, "notability" is not in there. So you should atleast give it a "Request for deletion" status and put it up for discussion! —Preceding unsigned comment added by DeeKay64 (talkcontribs) 22:23, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Oh, check this out btw: "Subjects that are obviously unimportant, but claim to be important: Articles that are about obviously unimportant subjects are still not allowed for quick deletion unless the article does not say why the subject is important. If the article gives a claim that might not be true, it should be discussed more. However, articles with only content such as "This guy was like so very important!" can be deleted per QD A1 because it gives no useful information about the subject." - DeeKay64 —Preceding comment was added at 22:28, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

I do not understand how A7 applies to my article. a) It's neither a person, nor an organziation, nor "web-content" but an actual product. b) "A7 applies only to articles about web content or articles on people and organizations themselves, not articles on their books, albums, software and so on.". Furthermore, I'd like to hear your stance on the passage quoted under "not quick deletion criteria" quoted above.. If you say yourself it was a borderline case, why not put it up for discussion by giving it atleast a RFD status? - DeeKay64 —Preceding comment was added at 22:42, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Your crystal-ball criticism is just as pointless as your other criticism, since the passage you quoted is under the "Present and future devices" section (which I did not add!). Also, it is not the least bit "speculation" but a very real product that I held in my hand already in February (an independant review from December was linked in the 1541u article, another proof you didn't even bother to read it before deletion!), in fact I will get mine next week. I did put it up for deletion review, but rest assured that you and cobaltblue really discouraged someone who was always willing to contribute for making Wikipedia better... If I have to jump through such hoops just to undo your unwarranted deletion, I am strongly discouraged from contributing to Wikipedia in the future! DeeKay64 (talk) 23:32, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Template creation policy (HasSpoilers deleted for no reason)

Sorry, I did not know about policies here. I come from Literature Wikia and there we have a template {{spoiler}} to include the warning. I don't think which is the case for deleting, explain to me, because I will just include it in some short stories articles that contain spoilers.

  • Isn't it the same than just pasting the whole sentence?
  • Which is the policy? Please say the policy in words me to read a 100 paragraphs article about wikipedia policy. I don't have much time. If you won't then don't even bother to answer.
  • Is creating a useful template being a vandal? Then we should not create them?
  • I was not "testing" but you said me to use the sandbox. It was to be included in articles.
  • Check http://literature.wikia.com and see that there it is not considered spoiling. And don't answer me that wikia is wikia and that wikipedia is wikipedia because I already know, I am not so idiot.

If some of this sounded rude to you, I felt someone was rude by deleting it so fast. You could have said that to me first then deleting it.

And I am not a vandal, please stop harassing me. Being ignorant is not vandalism. Vandalism is deleting articles and including nonsense. My template was not nonsense, I think, it is useful.

David (talk) 01:38, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Revert article

This is about the These Trails article. Not everyone has time or can focus on an article long enough before it gets deleted (apparently), I just put the framework up there for easier input later, it helps me to get back to it and continue work on it instead of having to do everything at once, which isn't possible for me. I want to rename the "sunscreen controversy" into "sunscreen discrepancy". I had explained on the sunscreen controversy talk page why this is a better title. Please give me some time to do so instead of deleting my material just 5 minutes after I have started the article. Gerriet42 (talk) 07:16, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

I am still unhappy with the title "sunscreen controversy". The article is describing the large gap between the scientific information and the popular believe. This has to be obvious from the title.
So how about "sunscreen desinformation" or maybe "sunscreen information-gap". (I am just brainstorming here, please make alternative suggestions.)Gerriet42 (talk) 07:27, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Why are people accusing me of violating the neutral point of view policy? All I want is that the many concerns which have been written in the scientific literature about sunscreen are properly represented in the popular press. Gerriet42 (talk) 07:38, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

- how do you mean my use of the term G-D betrays my intention, i refuse to write it the way you do, if it is an issue then change that particular part, however i refuse to do it myself. that is not an issue, you seem to find some in it.

- fair enough i wont disagree with the want of a purely descriptive sentence page

- this is however a critical argument against the concept, it is evident therefore that there should be some place for it in wikipedia where might this be if not in the description of it —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hoffbrandm (talkcontribs) 18:42, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

What? i merely want to open discussion. btw you should get a life instead of spending all day on wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bigjkim (talkcontribs) 02:07, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Lionel Pérez

Hello. I don't understand what you've just done regarding my edits to the page Lionel Pérez. I rearranged the information, and requested a citation for a potentially libellous statement present in the article. You then undid it, and left a message on my talk page regarding potentially libellous content, leaving the contentious content in the article untagged. What's the point in that? Huggle

No problem, this is a new alternate account I set up for vandalism reversion, and isn't on the whitelist yet (less than 500 edits) so I imagine this sort of thing will continue, I'll probably get reported to AIV a few times by different users, but no worries. Cheers, EJF (huggle) (talk) 21:51, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

A wigwam for a goose's bridle

I noticed that you nominated the above article for deletion here. There has been some work on the article in the meantime if you would like to take another look at it. Cheers, Mattinbgn\talk 00:32, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Howard Zjebb

I'd like to delete the page but there's no applicable speedy criteria. Can you give me a brief translation (ideally on the page in question so we can delete the translation along with the foreign text) so I can confirm it's an attack page? xenocidic (talk) 15:18, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

I'll make an entry for it at WP:PNT for confirmation that it is indeed an attack page. It talks about Howard Webb, whose page has been subjected to heavy IP vandalism lately. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 15:22, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. I undid your entry because I found an online polish>english translator that, while shaky, showed me enough of what I needed to know. Deleted and redirected to Howard Webb. keep up the good work. xenocidic (talk) 15:31, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

HEGRA_(Experiment)

Thanks, I was actually reading the speedy deletion page. Didn't find HEGRA the first time, only Hegra… I'm going to make a disambiguation page for that. Skippy le Grand Gourou (talk) 17:09, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok, sorry. I thought I put the User: part. Thanks--Mattkenn3 talk 17:44, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

1992 Nicaragua earthquake

I saw that you had tagged this article initially for a db-vandalism tag. And now the article is thriving and working towards an FA. Was it just hastiness or did you not take the time to review the article? ~Meldshal42 11:35, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank but no. I know what I am doing.

Re Comfort women

Thanks but no. I know what I am doing and why.

It would actually be worth looking at the nature of many of the edits.

Please see, here [9] for background on the situation and a statement, here; User_talk:222.150.193.35

OK, my job done. I am taking a break now.

Thank you again for giving it some time and consideration. --Documentingabuse (talk) 18:08, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

User_talk:86.42.97.130's edits to Dunboyne

I had a read of the content that the above-mentioned IP user added to Dunboyne, and most of it is actually quite beneficial, and if not, it's still WP:AGF.

I'm just wondering, did you take a read at what he entered into the article before reverting it all? Being a resident of Dunboyne myself, I was very happy seeing other people wanting to contribute to it. TheChrisD RantsEdits 00:43, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

I don't know how I did this. Thanks for pointing it out. All undone, including the user warning. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 00:56, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
No worries :) TheChrisD RantsEdits 00:58, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Your recent message at User talk:121.209.161.193

  Warning: Frequently changing IP address

User talk:121.209.161.193 is the discussion page for a numerical IP address, not a unique user. The allocation of this IP address to a particular user changes very frequently. In any 24 hour period, many users who are not related and who do not know each other could have this IP address allocated to them. Your recent message to this discussion page has been received by a user other than the one with whom you apparently intended to communicate. Specifically, you referred to edits to Wikipedia which the user who received your message did not make. Please don't place messages for a specific Wikipedia user, or concerning the edits of a specific user, on this page. It is more likely than not that they will be received by the wrong person, causing embarrassment and confusion for you and for them. This notice is unsigned intentionally. If you don't know why, please re-read it from the beginning.

No, dear user 121.209.161.193, you are mistaken. It is Wikipedia policy to notify anyone on their edits - because you (whoever you are) you use the same IP-address is your problem, not Wikipedia's or Blanchardb's. If it's that a problem for you, register. Wikipedia goes beyond "embarrassment and confusion".
I don't mean to step in, I just came to see if there was any word on Baek Ji Young discography. But to seem some unanymous user with a big mouth to a registered user makes me agitated. --Soetermans (talk) 10:56, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Why am I getting thes messages?? - I didn't write anything, I was just looking up an artice on Germany and this came up. Is this my account as such - I thought you can just come on here to look stuff up with no account?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.209.161.193 (talk) 09:28, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

I'll respond to you here because, given that your IP number is apparently dynamically assigned, you probably won't get my message otherwise.
The fact is, someone made one or more inappropriate edits under the same IP number that was assigned to you later on when you got that vandalism message. Because it is a first instance for this IP number, there is no message on the talk page telling you about that, and telling you to ignore the warning if it wasn't you the last time. Since not all IP numbers are dynamically assigned, we cannot post such disclaimers to every IP in existence.
In your situation, you may safely ignore vandalism warnings, or, if it bothers you, you might want to create a user account that will ensure you will not be getting warnings that are intended to anonymous dynamically assigned IPs. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 03:05, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
