Orphaned non-free media (Image:Tsw 360.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Tsw 360.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:20, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Amarula Tree edit

A tag has been placed on Amarula Tree requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ziggy Sawdust 19:13, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Killing My Darlings edit

I have nominated Killing My Darlings, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Killing My Darlings. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Pokemon Go Edit edit

Hey!

While I understand why you made this edit I need to explain why the usage of "worldwide".

Per WP:VG/GL releases in the lede are kept very general, as it says in the linked project page there "In the article lead, release dates should be summarized to be as general as possible, avoiding specific mention of platform and region releases unless significant. Whenever possible, the release dates in the lead should be summarized to the year of release, or month and year if further applicable.".

Since we know the game will be out by the end of the month, "worldwide" is preferred as we know for a fact that it will be released worldwide in July. This follows guidelines and keeps things nice and tidy.

I hope this helps you understand why this has been done. Rgoodermote (talk) 04:45, 14 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

The Iron Throne (Game of Thrones) edit

I just undid your edit claiming the runtime was 75 minutes. I saw your screenshot showing a streaming runtime of 75 minutes, but even if it was a legitimate source it's clearly not from any English-speaking country, much less the U.S. Foreign broadcasts of a show like GoT may be edited to meet local censorship standards. Also, broadcasts in PAL or SECAM territories of material shot at 24 fps (the usual frame rate of film) may be shortened by "PAL speedup", or playback at 25 fps (about 4% faster) to match PAL/SECAM frame rates of 25/50 fps; that is not a significant issue with broadcasts at NTSC frame rates of 30/60 fps. Because of those factors, runtime reports for U.S. shows from outside the U.S. are likely to be unreliable. Thus, the previously reported runtime of 82 minutes should stand unless & until a reliable source with access to HBO in the U.S. is found. --RBBrittain (talk) 05:29, 20 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Check This IP block request. I sincerely hope I'll get unblocked since I wouldn't want to lose this account I've had for almost half my life for something I'm innocent of. I've been editing Wikipedia for so long and only had these troubles the last two years simply because of a coincidence Blacknuz (talk) 04:44, 22 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

There is technical information to support this block, so you are going to need to go into more detail about this coincidence and explain why we think you are a sock and evading a block if you aren't. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 10:00, 22 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I'm not sure what you want from me. How do I prove I am who I am? Is it even possible? Would I have been blocked if I were from another country? Are you going to block everyone from Sweden making small changes? I don't really see the logic that User:Danieleb82 and I should even be the same person other than the fact that he's been using Swedish IPs to go around blocking, which feels like stretching to me. I also fail to see the logic in a simple troll vandalising Wikipedia for over a decade (my account is from 2007, his from 2018). I never had any problem with blocks and warnings until 2018, that means I (apparently) handled myself fine for 11 years before. My biggest problem is good faith edits where I don't use (or forget) sources. If it helps I have the same username on several other sites (Last.fm, The Backloggery, Overclocked Remix, Bandcamp (all possible to find with a simple googling)) which, in my opinion, makes me seem more like a serious user. If I google "Danieleb82" I only get the sockpuppet investigation from this site. I'm not sure what I can do more to plead my case. Oh, except for the fact that I even bother which Danieleb82 never did. I am truly serious and genuine. I've never been banned from something before and I wouldn't want it to be for something I didn't do. If there's anything more I can do, just tell me, because I don't know anymore. Blacknuz (talk) 05:44, 23 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

For whatever reason, the blocks I do tend to sit in the unblock queue forever. So, I'm just going to unblock you and see what happens. Please don't edit war while logged out. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 06:41, 10 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

To prevent a "chicken or the egg" situation (people refuse to unblock your IP because your account is blocked, and people refuse to unblock your account because your IP is blocked), I've changed your block to be no longer be a checkuser block. That allows any admin to overrule this block and unblock you. If you're not Danieleb82, I'm not really sure what to say. What's going on at articles like Too Close for Comfort Tour? NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 22:55, 23 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

You'd have to ask User:Binksternet about that, but my guess is that he only reverted because of the same suspicion then and I just were really stubborn since I knew the grammatical changes were correct. There's not much else to it really. Blacknuz (talk) 04:56, 24 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sorry to have caused so much trouble.
In September 2018 I was keeping half an eye out for Swedish IPs because of disruption and block evasion by Danieleb82, and on an article I was busy protecting from a Kentish person's disruption I saw this change by IP 85.24.216.217 which turned out not to be from Kent, UK, but from Sweden. I assumed at the time it was Danieleb82 simply because it was a music article and the IP was Swedish. I did not know it was Blacknuz editing while logged out. Another involved IP is 85.24.216.184 which was blocked two weeks ago. Both of these IPs are from Karlskoga while Danieleb82 is usually using Stockholm IPs such as the blocked range Special:Contributions/83.185.32.0/20. Note that Blacknuz was registered as a username nearly ten years before Danieleb82. Binksternet (talk) 05:31, 24 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Metallica edit

Greetings. Please explain why you are changing the order of the songwriting credits on Metallica albums. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 12:07, 8 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm sure he thought that the songwriting credits are always ordered in alphabetical order. EduKor (talk) 12:24, 8 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Exactly this. I just don't see the logic in them being credited in different orders. Blacknuz (talk) 05:05, 9 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

The logic is that we credit them exactly as they appear in the official material, in this case the liner notes. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 14:13, 9 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
