If in fact there was such a myth or legend, don't you think somebody would have mentioned it somewhere on the web before now? Zero google hits means, at best, that it is Unverifiable and cannot be posted under Wikipedia rules. The more logical assumption is that the story was made up, shall we say, more recently.
