However, I don't really understand what you want me to do, even after reading the page you linked to me. Are you saying I should make a "dummy edit" with a link to the original German article in the edit history? Is there anything I should add within the article itself or are the edit summary and talk page enough? I truly apologise and will definitely be more mindful of this in the future. Hi Bizarre Bizarre, Greetings. You could put the PATT on talk page (new section) and in the future do indicate in edit summary (an each edit) and just one article talk page PATT. The tag you place is a message, but attribution should come from you. The best way to do it (for future articles) you could use the sources of other Wiki languages pages, but write the content in your own words. Thank you and have a good day. Hello... I am quite new to Wikipedia (only about 10 edits) and I wrote my first article today. Would you mind reviewing it? I'd be really pleased. The article is quite short and thoroughly researched. It is about a Rector of a University of Applied Sciences in Germany: Draft:Anne Lequy. Some citations and sources are in German but this shouldn't be a problem for you since you have "sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse" too. The process can be quite long, so please have some patience. With that said, your work looks pretty well sourced and neutrally written to me. I made a minor edit to fix some formatting. I would also suggest that you fix the date formats in references: dates written like "2021-06-26" are generally not recommended. Since the subject is European and works in Europe, the standard is usually dmy (day month year) dates. For example, write "26 June 2021" instead of "2021-06-26". If your article is accepted for publication in mainspace, adding the dmy date template at the top of your article will help other users know which date format should be used in later edits so it remains consistent throughout the article. If possible, it is also preferable to write website names without URLs: "www.german-jordanian.org" is better rendered as "German-Jordanian University". The manual of style has a lot of additional explanations to improve the layout and formatting of your edits. Warren "Oak" or "Okay" Felder

Hi there, I've noticed you changed "Oak" to "Okay". While I agree in the past Warren Felder has been credited as everything from Oak_wud, OAK, Oak Felder, and Warren "Oak" Felder, on his last few releases across Spotify, Tidal and Apple Music, he's been credited as Warren Okay Felder. Now this could be an error though its unusual its appeared like that across all digital platforms. I mean its odd, and we're a while off from the album coming out so we won't know for sure but I was inclined to go with what the sources said for easier attribution. >> Lil-unique1 (talk) — 00:11, 24 July 2022 (UTC)

Not a problem. Have a look at WP:WikiProject for details. In short, these are places where editors collectively work together to improve pages relating to a certain subject. It's sort of like a group of people saying "we'd like to enhance content involving ______". Among other things, you can find them for nations, genres, religions, and various groups of people (including some projects that focus on one particular person). The edits that members make can be major (like revamping whole articles/sections), minor (such spelling and grammar fixes), or in-between. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 22:05, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi! It's perfectly normal. The Influences paragraph mentions Christina Aguilera and Kelly Brianne as Demi's biggest influences, so there are pictures of Christina and Kelly to illustrate that. It's far from being unique to Demi's article: you'll see pictures of David Bowie and Madonna for Lady Gaga's influences, pictures of Shania Twain and Stevie Nicks for Taylor Swift's influences… and I only gave you featured articles as examples because they're some of the best, but it's pretty much a standard for musician biographies. In the future, my advice to you would be to scroll through articles instead of using the gallery unless you already know the article very well, as a lot of context gets lost. 🙂 Bizarre Bizarre^{Talk modern to me} 13:08, 25 October 2022 (UTC)

Do you think the lead should begin with "Demetria Devonne Lovato", avoiding her nickname in quotes? WP:HYPOCORISM says that should be the case unless the nickname is uncommon. I believe "Demi" should be avoided as it is an obvious diminutive of Demetria, but Barry Wom disagrees with me. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:21, 31 May 2023 (UTC)

I honestly agree with you. I've actively involved myself with Demi-related articles for two years and their nickname wasn't formatted like that for most of that time, which I personally thought was just fine and did follow the policy you cited. It was added pretty recently and seems to be have been causing a lot of discord since then, at least from what I could see of the edit history. "Misgendering"

Please don't accuse me of intentionally "misgendering" somebody with alt text [2]. I couldn't even tell that was Letissier (and I am not intimately familiar with how he looks regardless) because it's blurry as all hell. Saying that somebody's body looks "feminine" (Letissier was still assigned female at birth and they have not, as far as I'm aware, transitioned regardless of their gender identity) and saying "their" (intentionally being vague) is not "misgendering" because I didn't know who it was. Because I did not know who it was (and therefore their pronouns), I used "their". Thank you. Ss112 00:00, 11 June 2023 (UTC)

I didn't even see who wrote the alt text so it was most definitely not targeted towards you specifically. I'm non-binary myself and that's how it came across to me. Using they/them for someone who's explicitly stated other pronouns is still incorrect. A quick look at his article explains (with sources) that his pronouns are he/him and that he has no intention to transition the "traditional" way.

I can accept that you didn't do it intentionally because you didn't recognise him, just like I'm sure you can understand I wasn't targeting you specifically because I didn't know who wrote the alt text. I'm autistic so I sometimes get "blunt" or whatever you want to call it, but I didn't intend it as an accusation towards anyone at all, simply as a statement. Thank you. And as I just stated, I didn't know who it was. Using "their" for somebody you don't recognise and do not know the gender pronouns of is not incorrect. Great, you've identified the person as Letissier and "corrected" the pronouns since. I don't have an issue with that. I do have an issue with any editor characterising an edit regarding somebody who isn't identified or was not identifiable as "misgendering" them. Thank you. Ss112 00:35, 11 June 2023 (UTC)

Alright. After some time away to reflect upon our conversation, I realise that I might have been a bit curt in my previous message because I wrote it right before going to sleep, for which I'm sorry. I know about assuming good faith and I really try my best to do so as much as possible, but I will admit that I often have trouble doing it for this specific issue due to my experiences in the past five years I've contributed to Wikipedia. I've seen all too many edits purposely misgendering people, especially on non-protected articles where IP users can contribute.

Again, I had no idea who made that edit and it didn't occur to me that this could have been because the editor didn't recognise the artist. That was not a possibility that even crossed my mind, as I assume that people who edit articles about musicians (or their albums) are generally familiar with the musician's appearance, especially in the digital age. I also followed the (social and traditional) media rollout of the album pretty closely so I didn't consider the possibility that someone editing the article could just not have seen the artwork before.

I would like to genuinely apologise if my edit summary came across as a personal attack. It was never, ever intended that way, and I want to stress that I have absolutely no ill will towards you. We seem to semi-often be on the same articles, so I hope that our future encounters will be less tense because I think we both have valuable things to bring to Wikipedia and I don't want this dispute to forever taint our collaborations.
