Scouting edit

Hi Simon. I see you have a Wiki account. Thanks for the photo use. You're welcome to join the Scouting project. I wish I'd been able to go to the Jambo in Thailand. My wife is Thai. Rlevse 11:49, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

SSAGO and SAGGA edit

I see that you mention on SSAGO that SAGGA is 50 years old. I'm not sure whether it started in 1957 or 1958 and the founding is a bit unclear on its web site. If it is correct, it should be mentioned on the SAGGA article also. I was just going to uni in 1957, so do not recall the founding, but was President of SAGGA for a while in the 1960s. --Bduke 21:54, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I joined SAGGA in 1996, while David Edge was still alive. He was our president then and gave a speach at the 1997 AGM, in honour of the 40th anniversary. We have celebrated the 50th anniversary with a party during the annual gathering and AGM weekend. The t-shirts we had produced for starburst pointed out the anniversary. While it's not been shouted from the rooftops, the anniversary hasn't been kept a secret, and it's been irritaing SSAGO don't acknowledge it. I've been out of circulation due to my wedding so will ask around for contributions Biscit 10:53, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP Politics edit

Hi there. Yes those articles are within our scope although I haven't yet added the tags to any MEP pages. It would be most helpful if you could add some tags as it's quite a tedious process otherwise. Good luck PiTalk - Contribs 11:59, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I tried to sign up, but all the user names I could think of were already taken, and I got fed up. --82.181.90.152 (talk) 14:14, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
