Image copyright problem with Image:Stram8-3-03.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Stram8-3-03.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Question concerning your edit to Superman-Prime edit

I have a question concerning your recent edit to Superman-Prime. In your edit summary, you said "In-universe reference", which I assume you were referring to what you had changed. It could be because it's 10 to 1 AM my time and my brain is just completely forgetting what in-universe looks like, but I'm not sure I quite understand how it was an in-universe reference. Could you please clarify for me? Thanks. Anakinjmt (talk) 05:50, 20 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:McKayJohn06 10 01 1.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:McKayJohn06 10 01 1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 18:52, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi! edit

I'm would like to bring your attention to something. I did not vandalize Damn Yankees The person that vandalized it did it after I edited. Look at the person directly under your name in history - he was the one who valdalized it! Entertainer91 (talk) 04:06, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fixed it edit

My apologies - you're correct, Entertainer91. I have removed the template from your talk page. billso (talk) 04:15, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:14, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia Education Program Fall 2012 edit

Hi, Bill!

I saw that you're teaching at Hawaii Pacific University, and I thought you might be interested in participating in the Wikipedia Education Program for the coming term. If you're still teaching a class and would like your students to edit Wikipedia as an assignment, please email me at jmathewson@wikimedia.org to talk more about the program! Thanks!

Thank you for your contributions to the Typo Team. ;-) edit

Dear Billso,

Thank you very much for your contributions to our Typo Team, and also for updating the log earlier today; it's great to see this year's brand new list growing so fast already!

I know that such lists often add the latest entry at the top but, in this case, the list is chronological from top to bottom. I therefore hope you won't mind if I suggest that you re-locate your latest entries towards the end of the current list? Thank you very much, Billso.

Happy New Year and thank you once again for your help towards our cause.

With kind regards;

Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk) 21:55, 9 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
