Concept versus Object edit

Hi Bg9989,

Your comments are well taken, but a little too general. My reverts were based on the content of the articles, in which it is clearly stated that the articles are concerned with concepts. The distinction that is being made is this: A line in Euclidean geometry is an object of that geometry, a line in a finite geometry is an object in that geometry, but these two objects have no relation to each other except in an abstract conceptual framework. The concept of line in geometry is very broad and must encompass many types of objects, and this is what the article is about. To categorize the article as being about a mathematical object is to miss the point of the article.

With that said, I do admit that I should not have labelled the reverts as minor edits. I do not often misuse that tag, but I sometimes slip up, my apologies. Bill Cherowitzo (talk) 20:45, 6 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
