Commendable. Hopefully we can avoid a messy AfD this way. Those trolls (from both sides) really bug me. ---J.S (t|c) 21:41, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

93! :) I'm not actually a Thelemite, but I could be called... sympathetic.
On a side note, If Ben Burch goes to AfD, I'd really appreciate it if you keep your comments to the bare-minimum. It seems that wherever you go annon-trolls pop up. I'll maintain aggressive use of {{RPA}} and hopefully things we remain civil. ---J.S (t|c) 22:12, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
The transclusion on the AfD page is fixed now, don't worry about it. Mak (talk) 04:42, 22 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'll do my best. Hope it doesn't get too sloppy. Mak (talk) 04:51, 22 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

==Re: RFC at Democratic Underground== edit

I thought you might want to lend your wisdom to the RFC currently underway. BenBurch 04:13, 28 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

After more than an hour of investigating the situation, I left my comment (more like diatribe) in the discussion, including a strong condemnation of the flame warring going on in that forum. You do come out of that conversation looking better than most, but a less sympathetic judgment could put you just this side of flame-baiting (which I notice has already come up on your talk page).
You were, in my opinion, justified in removing the link, and justified in defending your move. But, as I pointed out, it was not worth an edit war, and it's not worth risking your reputation on Wikipedia. It's just a stupid link to a stupid website.
I hope this doesn't discourage you, and I hope you continue to work on Wikipedia. You look like you're shaping up to be a fine editor. However, I would strongly recommend that you avoid both Democratic Underground and, particularly, User:Jinxmchue. It's not worth your trouble to fight with him.
Good luck. If you've got any more questions, or would like to share an opinion with me, don't hesitate to leave me another messages. And thanks for tipping me off to the problem in the first place. - Che Nuevara: Join the Revolution 12:29, 28 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry if I came down a little hard. You were really not at fault, in my opinion, for what happened there. I'm just trying to impress upon everyone that this is a bad situation which needs to be avoided. You're doing the smart thing.

Peace. - Che Nuevara: Join the Revolution 08:44, 29 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Prove your accusations of personal attacks edit

Per your addition to User talk:Jinxmchue, back up your accusation with facts and examples. Jinxmchue 21:04, 30 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from personal attacks edit

With regards to your comments in the history page of the Democratic Underground article, specifically, your needless comment of "I believe the consensus is obvious except to those who will not tolerate it for brittle ideological reasons": Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. "Do not make personal attacks anywhere in Wikipedia. Comment on content, not on the contributor. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users." Please keep this in mind while editing. Thanks. Jinxmchue 02:28, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • It's not a personal attack, since it was not directed at you personally. BenBurch 06:14, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • No, actually, it was directed at me personally because I am the one who restored the section and asked for proof of the alleged consensus. Jinxmchue 06:27, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • Believe that if you like. You will anyway. BenBurch 06:28, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • Only because it is true, factual and reality-based, Ben. Jinxmchue 06:35, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Ben, would you care to explain this:

Without ever admitting that you were wrong and were grossly misusing and twisting Wiki's guidelines, of course.

Because I wasn't wrong. You were. Especially with your repeated personal attacks. I could have had you banned, and an admin even asked me if I wanted you banned.

Well, Jinxie, it was ANOTHER person you attacked.

And as it happens the Admin is somebody I know from the bartcopnation chat room, and have known for many years now, and who would do anything I asked him to do.

re: Revert to my talk page edit

Hi! I removed that warning because it is from a fellow who has been leveling personal attacks at me for weeks now, and I consider it to be absolutely baseless. Plus I saw it already. BenBurch 15:30, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

You still cannot remove it. Append a note to the end of the edit describing the issue in question. Alphachimp talk 15:31, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
