Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot for improving the article Alevism. You made the lead section truly lead. When I first read this article it seemed to me that Alevis are non Muslims, which is completely wrong. Thanks again! Can please tell me what is the difference between Alevis and Bektashis.Mingling2 (talk) 13:47, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi Mingling2, no problem. Unfortunately, Alevism is being attacked for centuries from all fronts by atheists who claim to be Alevi and by orthodox Muslims who indeed claim Alevism is not Islam. As you can see in the Wiki-history, the Alevi wiki-page is sometimes modified by non-Alevis to make it look like Alevism is supposed to be a mix of christianity, buddhism, shamanism, etc. to make it look like it's not Islam. True Alevi's believe Alevism is Islam in its purest form, without any influence from the Umayyads like the orthodox-mainstream Islam does.

About the difference between the Alevis and the Bektashis, the difference is very small. If you go the Haji Bektash Veli wiki-page, you can read: "It is believed by Alevi's that Hadji Baktāsh Wālī was a teacher of Alevism and that he never started a 'different' Bektashi order. Instead, the Bektashi order was started by Balim Sultan after the passing away of Haji Bektash." The main difference is that a murshid or pir (spiritual leader) in Alevism has to be a sayyid, a descendant of the Twelve Imams. In Bektashism a non-descendant can also be a spiritual leader. Some Bektashi-orders outside of Turkey (like in Albania) also have some Sunni influences, like the importance of rituals like 5 times prayer, the 5 pillars of Islam, etc., while mainstream Alevis consider those things fabrications (like the followers of Quranism also do). Overusing quotes

Hi Bektashi! I appreciate that you're trying to prove the Quranist point of view at Tawassul, but please show some restraint when using quotes from the Quran. They make the overall text a bit difficult to follow. Besides, you really should use a source when saying things like "According to Quran alone muslims, a prayer should be dedicated to God and God alone." Add a website reference or something on which Quran-alone muslims say these things. Thanks! HyperGaruda (talk) 18:49, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
