Paul Pelosi edit

Hi there. While I agree with your recent edit at Paul Pelosi, the RfC on the talk page is still going, and it's not just a count of votes. A final decision is based on the persuasiveness of each argument, and it's not a slam-dunk at this point. I think you should revert your edit until the RfC closes in a few weeks. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 10:31, 27 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

How long do RFC last for? Basedosaurus (talk) 10:46, 27 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
You can request closure once editing tapers off; see WP:RFCEND. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:15, 27 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Magnolia677 As edits have tapered off now and there is a consensus that it should be included,would it now be appropriate to end the RFC? Basedosaurus (talk) 00:08, 4 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Because some editors who did not want these edits included (it wasn't a slam-dunk), it may be best to have the RfC closed by an admin. Just add it to the list at WP:CR. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 07:34, 4 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Information edit

Can you explain why doesn't need information? What is purpose of details section of the table then ? There is also information about some of the weapons and my added information is what is explaining what kinda system or functions weapons itself has shortly. IR-TheFirstSoldier (talk) 19:15, 2 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

@IR-TheFirstSoldier
Large quantity of Detail for an item are not needed for this page as this is only about equipment that UAF use,not how they work.The information you are trying to add belongs on the WP of the item itself.The only time information that is similar to this should be added is if it is a variant that was made to the specification of the country in question (in this case Ukraine)but that should still be very brief.
In this instance the edit you are trying to add is about the features of it,which is really meant for the WP of the weapon itself same goes for the designer. Basedosaurus (talk) 21:01, 2 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ok thanks ! IR-TheFirstSoldier (talk) 21:09, 2 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Correction to previous election announcement edit

Just a quick correction to the prior message about the 2022 MILHIST coordinator election! I (Hog Farm) didn't proofread the message well enough and left out a link to the election page itself in this message. The voting will occur here; sorry about the need for a second message and the inadvertent omission from the prior one. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 17:40, 15 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

List of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine edit

Allow me to attempt an explanation. There is no official Italian source for the M109L in Ukrainian hands, all "sources" point to La Repubblica or a false Twitter picture displaying a howitzer from the Italian Armed Forces' 52nd Artillery Regiment "Torino," not a Ukrainian howitzer.

For this reason, and the fact that none have been sighted in Ukraine, La Repubblica does not appear to be trustworthy.

I included a compromise in the list so we don't have to argue forever. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uwdwadafsainainawinfi (talkcontribs) 08:17, 8 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Uwdwadafsainainawinfi I would have to disagree, La Repubblica is a Newspaper of record for italy and is a RS-see Newspaper of record Basedosaurus (talk) 23:49, 11 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Uwdwadafsainainawinfi Basedosaurus (talk) 16:42, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
If you can find another reliable source that doesn't link to la Repubblica or the twitter post, I'll agree with you. Uwdwadafsainainawinfi (talk) 16:53, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Uwdwadafsainainawinfi La Repubblica is a reliable source which is sufficient. Basedosaurus (talk) 16:57, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
It is suspicious that she is the only source. Uwdwadafsainainawinfi (talk) 16:58, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
@UwdwadafsainainawinfiIts not really suspicious at all,it happens all the time that one source will report something and the rest will copy or use that source as their own source.Either way it is a RS and so should be included. Basedosaurus (talk) 17:04, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
However, these reports are mostly confirmed by the government. Uwdwadafsainainawinfi (talk) 17:07, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
@UwdwadafsainainawinfiIf they are confirmed by government then that's all the more reason to include....? Basedosaurus (talk) 17:09, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sorry if I was unclear, all reports published by mainstream media such as CNN are always based on government reports. That's not the case with la Repubblica, they pulled it out of a hat. Uwdwadafsainainawinfi (talk) 17:12, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Uwdwadafsainainawinfi Pretty sure the source states it was from a government official. Basedosaurus (talk) 18:17, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Why don't you want to wait until it's 100% confirmed? And don't tell me it's a reliable source. Uwdwadafsainainawinfi (talk) 18:36, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
@UwdwadafsainainawinfiThat what's a reliable source? La Repubblica?
How about to end this we just put "reportedly 20-30" in the description and add 20-30 in brackets for the number? Basedosaurus (talk) 18:42, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Until it's 100% confirmed, it's just rumors. Uwdwadafsainainawinfi (talk) 18:46, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
