Re:Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League edit

My bad, BaseballFan. With all the vandalism of the page lately, I have gotten very paranoid. However, the edits regarding the Southern Maryland team name change should really wait until we have more substantiation than an "inside source." Again, I am very sorry.
As someone in a league position, you may want to expand coverage of the league on Wikipedia, adding articles for teams/stadiums in the league which do not yet have them. If you need any help with improvements, please ask, as I am a huge fan of collegiate summer baseball. Kithira (talk) 10:44, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Alexandria Aces schedule edit

Greetings! I see you have attempted to add the 2010 schedule for the Alexandria Aces (Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball) to their article. I have removed it in accordance with the guideline Wikipedia is not a directory. While the article should contain summary information about the team, it should not go into that kind of detail. That's information better carried at the team's website. —C.Fred (talk) 00:38, 19 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Per your reply:
I would request special permission to leave it on the page, as it is good advertising for the team.
That is precisely why it should not be on the article. Wikipedia is not a venue for advertising. I would also suggest that you review the conflict of interest guidelines: as an employee/representative of the team, you have a definite conflict of interest. —C.Fred (talk) 02:20, 19 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Alexandria Aces disputes edit

Please do NOT remove a dispute tag from the top of a page until the issue is resolved. The Alexandria Aces article still has serious problems with conflict of interest, bias, and reliable sources. Do not remove the tags until the issue is resolved, or the article will be deleted and you could be banned. Thank you. BBT2005 (talk) 19:02, 22 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

The article Alexandria Aces (Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Sports notability not established. The few secondary sources are strictly local. The rest of the sources are primary.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
