You admit that reggae grind is very small and up-and-coming, and that you want to write about it so that it will become more popular. Wikipedia is not the place for that. You need to wait till the genre is bigger, like having a very successful band or two, in order to write about it. Academic Challenger 07:58, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

On Wikipedia, fame is not in the eye of the beholder. For music, it's based on verifiable information about how many albums a band has released, how many are sold, how successful their tours are, who they have influenced, etc. Genres like doom metal have more information about them and are older. Eventually reggae grind will probably have a lot of information about it as well, and will have enough underground following, but not yet. Academic Challenger 08:08, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry that you feel that way, but Wikipedia is not a place for complete freedom. It is a place for more freedom in putting down any knowledge than there ever has been before, but there are still rules and standards, and unfortunately you are having a hard time as a beginning contributor. Your personal attacks on me don't help, but you could still be a good contributor. Academic Challenger 08:32, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

You can be a good contributor on subjects that are notable. Other administrators and I have agreed that what you want to write about does not belong on the site right now. But you obviously know a lot about music, so why not write about something else? Academic Challenger 08:36, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
