Do not be mad at me for it. I do not mind questions regarding the deletion, but ask nicely if you don't mind.

Altered speedy deletion rationale: SAPSN edit

Hello BaronVonYiffington. I am just letting you know that I deleted SAPSN, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 14:14, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Avalon High (film) edit

Hello!

You recently participated in the above debate. I suggested an addition of articles to be debated and would like your opinion on it before I initiate any changes.

Hello BaronVonY. I'm not sure it's worth re-opening this already-closed AfD, but I came across it, and noticed that this news article (linked in the AfD template via Google News) does verify some of the information you seemed doubtful about. Respectfully, Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 03:59, 16 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I found that news article as well, but it only confirms that they opened for Twisted Sister and played twice at Rocklahoma. I'm not sure I fully believe the article, simply because I still stand by my point that a band that opened for such famous acts and played a record-breaking two days at the festival would have actually been recognized by the festival it self, and they aren't. ~ Baron Von Yiffington . talk . contribs 11:58, 16 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
When you find a news article as you are researching a nomination for deletion, it's important to mention it in the discussion for at least a couple of reasons. One is that it can be helpful to your fellow editors in their own searches for sources as they try to determine a subject's notability. Another is for reasons of process if someone were to re-post the article: If an editor re-posts it as it was, and simply adds a citation to the news article, it is no longer eligible for CSD G4 speedy deletion. If, on the other hand, you had mentioned the article in the deletion discussion, and the consensus still came to the conclusion of "yes, this is a non-notable band, even taking into account that one source", then a re-posting could be speedily deleted under G4. Just thought I'd offer that perspective, for what it's worth. Best wishes, Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 01:13, 17 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'll keep that in mind. I still don't think the article is reliable, but okay. ~ Baron Von Yiffington . talk . contribs 17:50, 17 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Final Destination 5 at IMDB edit

Inre Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Final Destination 5: The Death Trip: While the article written by User:Masolipis111 is frought with problems, the topic itself is not a hoax, and so I believe the topic itself may merit a merit a redirect to Final Destination (film series), where speculation of a 5th in the series might best be covered. Not exactly RS, but Slashfilm, Screenrant, Shock Till You Drop, and others all make note of Warner Bros. head Alan Horn announcing at ShoWest that they're planning Final Destination 5. So while the current article itself is full of unsourced speculation, the chase for consumer dollars makes the project likely. If we set a redirect, Wikipedia can afford to be patient and revisit this topic when it receives more coverage and in reliable sources. What are your thoughts? Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 20:14, 22 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I still believe that the whole thing needs to be deleted. Even if it isn't a hoax, WP:NFF applies here. I'm all for adding a mention of the announcement of the fifth movie to the film series page, but having a redirect or whole page seems unnecessary.~ Baron Von Yiffington . talk . contribs 18:11, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
