SVG silhouettes

Hi, I saw your note about your being a graphics designer. Are you able to create an SVG silhouette from a jpg photo? I like to design flags and aircraft roundels for my own personal use (totally non-commercial) but creating silhouettes from photos is far beyond my extremely limited SVG skills.
