Speedy deletion nomination of JavaScript syntax/2 edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that JavaScript syntax/2, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your reversion of my speedy deletion decline edit

Hi BZAW31559,

I noticed you reverted my decline of your speedy deletion request with the comment wait for an admin. For your information, I am an admin, and although I'm currently using my alternate account without the admin flag, that does not make my decline any less of an admin action. I see GoldenRing has also now declined the deletion. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion which detail the strict criteria under which speedy deletion is allowed. Cheers! stwalkerster (sock | talk) 12:36, 10 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

STOP! edit

Stop tagging articles for deletion. Do not revert people removing your speedy tags. If you continue like this, you will face a block. And, by the way, why are you editing other people's user pages? That is not acceptable. Liz Read! Talk! 03:20, 11 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Some urgent advice edit

BZAW31559, I know you mean well, but there are serious concerns about your editing being discussed at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:BZAW31559. Since Wikipedia is a community in which communication is essential, it is imperative that you respond to those concerns, both at the linked discussion and on this talk page.

I also noticed that you seem intent on becoming an administrator. Please read Wikipedia:Adminship is not for new users, and also note that editing for the sake of becoming an admin is strongly frowned upon by the community and would likely lead to a failed RfA if you continued along those lines. In particular, I very strongly encourage you to delete the "Reserved to indefinite blocking" table and the apparent draft RfA above.

I appreciate that you've taken time to contribute to Wikipedia, and we always love enthusiasm, but you need to slow down because a significant amount of your edits, such as this, have been problematic. This does not mean you are necessarily a bad editor, but it does mean have to listen and communicate with other editors who are trying to help you. To that end, please do refrain from further article editing until you've responded in earnest to the administrators' noticeboard discussion.--Jasper Deng (talk) 07:23, 11 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

You edited another user's userspace page again despite being clearly asked to stop. Please please do read everything I said above in full (particularly communication), because otherwise the only option will be to block you. That would be an unfortunate outcome, but will be necessary if you do not communicate.--Jasper Deng (talk) 07:44, 11 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  GoldenRing (talk) 10:18, 11 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Continue reverting article (revert the edits made by anonymous users)

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 11:58, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

No idea. They seem to be trolling for an indefinite block without talk page access. Now the block has expired, we'll quickly see if they mean to be productive. --Yamla (talk) 11:15, 18 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Drmies and Yamla: They clearly do not. This is simple trolling. I've left TP access for now, in case a productive unblock request is forthcoming, but my threshold for removing it is pretty low at this point. GoldenRing (talk) 08:47, 19 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Drmies: I guess the guy is identical to a disruptive IPv6 2403:6200:8937::/48 (talk+ · tag · contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RBLs · proxy check · block user · block log · cross-wiki contribs · CheckUser (log)), some of whose dubious additions are still online. I agree that there's a behavior match, and am inclined to rangeblock it. Would have done so already if I had been better at reading IPv6 CIDR notation, and now am late to a meeting. May 2019 edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 03:30, 19 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation edit

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/BZAW31559, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
