edit

A tag has been placed on User:Authorgladtidings258/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Your use of Wikipedia

edit

I'm afraid I have had to remove the rather odd WP:REDIRECT that you created from this talk page to File talk:Authorgladtidings258 in order to inform you that such redirects are not acceptable. File talk pages are only about Files, and our pages here are not to be used as free hosting, but should only relate to matters concerning creating and managing this encyclopaedia. Please see WP:NOTWEBHOST. I have flagged that file talk page for speedy deletion, and have copied the deletion notice to this, now un-redirected, talk page. I am afraid that you'll see I've also just flagged one of your sandbox pages for deletion, too. I'm sure you thought it was OK to use your user account page in this way, but I'm afraid it is not.

Please also remove the current content from your userpage as this also does not seem to relate to either introducing yourself, or to work intended for future publication on Wikipedia. You might wish to read our policy on WP:USERPAGES. I would particularly point you to this policy statement and those that follow it. In future please use your sandbox pages for preparing drafts, or use the Articles for Creation route and be aware that all pages you create are visible to everyone. Simply asking that nobody deletes them is a vain hope, I'm afraid. If you are a user who is not here to work on this encyclopaedia (see WP:NOTHERE), you will very swiftly find your account is blocked from all editing. Please confine your editing to aspects that are directly relevant to improving the world's greatest encyclopaedia and for all other circumstances use a blog or your own website for other stuff. I'd suggest you get a free account from Blogger - you can choose to edit online and keep everything private, or you can make your blog public as and when you're ready. But using pages for planning your own personal stories and other ramblings is not something we allow here. Regards from the UK, Nick Moyes (talk) 01:26, 28 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
