Welcome to Wikipedia, Auralee! I am Darth Mike and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! Adding Images edit
To add photos you shot yourself, you'll want to go to this page Wikipedia:Upload. Then you'll click 'Entirely my own work - I created it, own all the rights to it, and have not used anyone else's work in making it'. Be aware however, once you upload your image, you'll be releasing it under a free license, meaning anyone can use it at any time for any purpose (and you can't revoke the license).
Once you have the file uploaded, there's a few different ways to add it to the article. There's not much code, so don't worry :p
In mostly all cases, this markup wil do, you'll need to change the filename, pixels (if you want), and the caption.
