Definitely yes. We discussed the url point and you said this will be OK if I did all the work. And I did a lot of work. Dont think its easy to take the pcitures, dont think it was easy to find a text and if you think so take a look to the german "Wolkersdorf" site.

If wikipedia is not fair I see no reason to act as editor because to mention my url instead of the city url - whatfor should I do such a job?

A little advanage must be, if not delete the page please!

When exactly did I say "this will be OK if you do all the work"? You added your text under the GFDL license, so actually you're not even allowed to remove it. You should not come to wikipedia looking for advantages, this is not an advertisement site! People like me add information simply because they want to share it. Lesson to me

As said: Wikipedia is not any longer allowed to use my pictures and my text for Wolkersdorf im Weinviertel.

It is not a advertisement site but I think it is not to much asked to keep my personal url in the infobox and I consider this as little payback for my work.

If wikipedia makes advertisement for the official website by posting this url as main url into my work - on my behalf - I dont agree with that. It's still advertisement or not?

I only remember that we discussed the matter in short. You told me usually official web site link will be posted in the infobox and I told you this is not OK for me. DEfinitely my url was posted for weeks and - for your information - in this time I got 5 visitors from wikipedia.

This is just said to suggest you that something must be wrong with wiki in this matter. May People consider it as cheat to do the work and to get nothing than advertisement for third parties - third parties which are even not interested to read the article in wikipedia concerning the own City? I asked the Mayor to donate for wikipedia, his answer: Never heard about, we only use google!

What is the problem? Delete the site and wait till somebody else doe the job in accordance with your idears.

To get some things straight:

• The wikipedia article about Wolkersdorf is not your property
• Wikipedia articles do not make advertisement for any site. However, it is common practice to add some external links (for instance that of the local government) where more information about the subject can be obtained. obviously commercial weblinks will be removed.
• You added your pictures under a license. I have no idea whether you can recall a license just like that, read the law text. I have no problem with not using your pictures, they were too many anyway. Same for your text.
• If you think doing voluntary work without reward equals being cheated, that's your problem, not wikipedia's. Markussep ^Talk 00:30, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Common practice or not: If I do something I expect something. For you this may looks strange, for me its the result of different mean experiences over here.

If you like you can open this page again but only if my url is mentioned in the infobox. If not a competitor gets an advantage from me and this is like playing football and scoring in my own goal.

The article is not my property either, it's wikipedia's. The whole idea of wikipedia is that articles are written by several people: some may do the bulk of the work, others may improve parts or challenge parts they think are inappropriate or unsourced. Putting your personal webpage in an infobox is not the way to go. I don't understand this competitor issue, how can you compete with an official town webpage? That is silly. You may have better or more information (actually I doubt that, I can't find how to reach the town government on your page), but that's the official page, so that's what we link to in the infobox. If you can't be satisfied with a listing under external links, that's your problem. I'm losing interest in this discussion. Please don't overestimate your work, the only mainspace article you have ever contributed to was Wolkersdorf im Weinviertel, to my knowledge. And it was not brilliant. If you insist on this inclusion of your weblink in a prominent place, I think our discussion is closed. Time to move on, we'll see what happens to the article.
