Dieselpunk edit

Hi there, very interesting article- just the kind of thing I am interested in, and a stunning first article, well done. Just thought I'd drop by and congratulate you! Something you missed- categories. Have a read about them at WP:CAT. Feel free to contact me if I can be of any help. J Milburn 20:43, 5 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Right, I have seen why the article is being deleted, and I have said my bit on the talk page. I am now doing all I can to rewrite it to get some sources in there. I think, if we can find evidence of the term being used (by a reliable source) to describe books and the like as dieselpunk, then people will be happy to keep it. All I have managed to find so far is this, but it is a good start. Feel free to drop by my talk page or my sandbox if you want to help out, and especially if you have any magazines that mention it. I am relying entirely on web sources. J Milburn 09:19, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
There just isn't enough out there. I can find a few vague references to bands/films/games/whatever being referred to as dieselpunk, but they were mostly on questionable sources and took some interpretation. There was nothing available to cite the paragraphs and paragraphs of description of the genre. There is a small paragraph in the steampunk article and I think, for now, that is where it belongs. I have done my bit for that paragraph, and cited something. J Milburn 10:23, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dieselpunk edit

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Dieselpunk, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
