Disambiguation link notification for October 29 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Al-Kafirun, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hakim. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your recent edits edit

Thank you for recent contributions to Wikipedia.[1] However, there are issues with most of these edits. Much of your unexplained (refer H:ES) content is not in WP:TONE or in WP:WIKIVOICE. Your edits include too many unexplained Arabic words / terms. As per Roxy the dog > this is an "English language encyclopedia". The content relies too much on PS religious texts. You might consider MOS:ISLAM. There is often a lack of citations for the material you add. Much of your input seems to be WP:OR. BTW Best not to classify all your bold additions as "This is a minor edit" > "m".

Astro > On this Talk Page, reading your aspirations for Wikipedia and your ambition that, "TOGETHER WE HAVE TO WIN AGAINST DISBELIEVERS", possibly you should read WP:PG.

I have previously prepared: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Islam/Archive_11#Some_issues_with_the_current_Wikipedia_Quran_articles

There is improvement needed for these articles to bring them back to a Wikipedia Encyclopedic Standard WP:5P. Koreangauteng (talk) 02:33, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for pointing out Koreangauteng. I have removed the objectionable material from this page and will try to improve the other issues you highlighted also. Thanks again Astro relic (talk) 01:10, 30 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Astro > Thank you for removing that material. Thank you also for your desire to, "try to improve the other issues". However, you might examine all of your previous edits, including your most recent[2] to rectify the Wikipedia issues raised above. Koreangauteng (talk) 01:55, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
That would be my pleasure Koreangauteng, I will certainly work on it. Thanks again for guidance. Thanks and Best regards. Astro relic (talk) 01:03, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Astro
Thank you. This is what I would recommend.
1. This English encyclopedia provides an opportunity to present the Quran to English speaking people. It should be done in way that does not involve complex Islamic theology and or unexplained Arabic words or concepts. Explanations should not be exhaustingly long. Otherwise your efforts become counter-productive.
2. I would recommend you study (and of course comply with) the Wikipedia policies and guidelines. WP:PG and others noted above such as H:ES, WP:TONE, WP:WIKIVOICE, WP:OR. Citations need to confirm to Wiki standards.
3 This is an encyclopedia. It will ultimately (because of other editor input - which you can challenge) contain content which you may or may not be comfortable with. Don't let that get you down.
4. I would suggest you stick with improving your recent Quran article contributions.
5. I suggest you seek further advice and assistance, and for that reason I have taken the liberty to ping AhmadF.Cheema. You might contact other editors who may help you here. MOS:ISLAM
6. The use of consistent formal structure, complete with functioning URL links, internal Wikilinks as per An-Nisa, is recommended for 2020 online encyclopedic article lexicography.
7. Take you time. I am sure you can do it. Koreangauteng (talk) 07:42, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Al-Kawthar into Ash-Shu'ara. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 15:33, 5 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
