Watermarked images

edit

Hi. You recently added a panorama image to the Cork (city) article. It's a nice image, but unfortunately I had to take it out. Please consider reading the policy on user created images, focusing especially on the guideline which expects that "user-created images should not be watermarked, distorted, have any credits in the image itself or anything else that would hamper their free use". The image credit on the right most edge of your image causes problems under this policy, and restricts its use on the project. If you have the right to do so, please consider removing this watermark, and leave the image description box to attribute credit. (Also please note that panorama images should probably not be placed on an article at the size to which you added that image to the Cork article. It "took over" the entire first few pages. Images like that should be left to the end, and should not be overly high or interruptive). Guliolopez (talk) 18:53, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:Panoramacork.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 02:01, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:PatrickStreetFromPatricksHill.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:PatrickStreetFromPatricksHill.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:05, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks!! I'm trying to brighten up some of the images on the article at the moment. It's a bit difficult with the grey days we're having now though. But expect to see a few more brighter images soon - hopefully. Assorti (talk) 18:14, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, the County Hall is a bit drab! Do me a favour and just have a look at the Suburban Rail section. It reads like there was already a line to Midleton before the June reopening. Don't think there was, but what do I know? I'm in Greater Manchester, and it's a few years since I was over in Midleton. And to be honest, I was more interested in the distillery than the station!
