Speedy deletion nomination of Business which Impress edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Business which Impress, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I can't understand why this article is tagged for deletion. It is by no means promotional. AsherTheChamp (talk) 07:43, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Promotion edit

Hi! Wikipedia does not allow promotion of any kind, so please don't try to promote your book here – you can do that on Facebook or Amazon, but not here. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:20, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

This is not a promotion. edit

This is not a promotion. This is information about the book. It should get approved. AsherTheChamp (talk) 10:56, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, AsherTheChamp. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Nahal(T) 11:04, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

August 2019 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  331dot (talk) 11:46, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

I see no reason that the content is an ad. I any way apologise for the inconvenience. Please restore my account. AsherTheChamp (talk) 08:29, 13 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You state that your book "is a book written by the Ethiopian famous entrepreneur, business man, author and advocate Ashenafi Semu Bordea" and link to Amazon where people can buy the book. If you don't see how that is promotional, you shouldn't edit Wikipedia until you do. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a place to merely tell about something. As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources state about article subjects that meet Wikipedia's special definition of notability; in this case, the definition of a notable book. Wikipedia is not interested in what the subject wants to say about itself(or their own works). Wikipedia is also not interested in enhancing search results for your book or spreading the word about it. Someone else will review your request, but you likely will not be unblocked to continue to edit about your book. If you want to edit about other subjects, subjects for which you have no conflict of interest, please tell what those might be. 331dot (talk) 09:21, 13 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I abandon the article I wrote about my book and I would ask some other party to do it. Please excuse me for the mistakes I made and please restore my account. Thank you. AsherTheChamp (talk) 15:51, 13 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

(1) You three times created an article which read from start to finish like marketing copy, but you don't see it as promotional, which suggests that you lack the ability to see the nature of your own writing, in which case you will be unable to edit neutrally, even if you wish to. (Grudgingly saying that the article "might somehow seem promotional" is perhaps an even surer sign that you can't see the nature of what you posted than your earlier flat denials.) (2) You give no indication what else you may edit; indeed, you flatly refuse to do so when asked, even after the reason for asking has been explained to you. Not only does that mean that we are unable to assess whether you are likely to make edits which benefit the project, but it also casts doubt on your willingness to edit in a collaborative and cooperative spirit, which is fundamental to how Wikipedia works. (3) You have actually stated that you intend to get someone else to write an article about you, which shows that you have not read the information given to you about Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline, read it but failed to understand it, or read it and decided to ignore it. None of those three scenarios indicate that you are likely to edit in acceptable ways. Complying with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines is not optional. Okay, so what do you want to edit about? Please click "Edit" at the top of the page or next to the section header to reply; clicking "new section" introduces unnecessary formatting. 331dot (talk) 15:53, 13 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please restore my account. edit

I acknowledge that the article about the book might somehow seem promotional and that it contains the book's Amazon link. I did this because I have seen some wikipedia entries of books which did the same. Anyway, I promise to get the article written by someone else and follow the wikipedia rules strictly. But for now, I kindly ask my editing previllage be restored. Thankfully. AsherTheChamp (talk) 07:03, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

The question remains, what do you want to edit about since you won't be editing about your book? If you are aware of other articles promoting a book written by the author of the book and only supported with an Amazon link selling the book, please point those out so they can be addressed(thought do not out other editors), as we can only address inappropriate articles or content if it is detected and reported. 331dot (talk) 07:05, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Why does it matter what I edit? I want to contribute in variety of subjects on Wikipedia. If I am qualified for the account restore, why does it matter what I edit? AsherTheChamp (talk) 07:12, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Please click "edit" at the top of the page instead of "new section"; doing the latter introduces unnecessary formatting; or you can click "edit" next to the section header above. Regarding your question, in order to unblock you, I or another administrator must be assured that you will make productive contributions to this project and that you understand what you did wrong and won't do it again. Knowing what you want to edit helps me (or someone else) to determine that. If there are no specific edits you want to make at this time, you are welcome to request unblock when there is an edit you want to make. 331dot (talk) 07:17, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Why does it matter what I edit if I am accepted as an account editor? AsherTheChamp (talk) 08:08, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
I've answered that question. If you decline to answer my question, please say so.
Again, Please click "edit" at the top of the page instead of "new section"; doing the latter introduces unnecessary formatting; or you can click "edit" next to the section header above. The more section headers you create, the harder it is to communicate with you. 331dot (talk) 08:12, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please restore my account. edit

I actually wanted to add a discussion (Talk) to an article. Your help is very much welcomed. AsherTheChamp (talk) 10:21, 28 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

To request unblock, you may make a new request, addressing the reason for your block and the concerns raised in previous requests. Be advised that if you make too many requests that do not show progress towards that, you may lose access to this page too, so I would become very familiar with the guide to block appeals before making your request. 331dot (talk) 11:12, 28 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

My account has been blocked for an article that contained a promotional content. I have indicated that I am sorry that this happened and promised to strictly follow the wikipedia guidelines. Please remove the block. AsherTheChamp (talk) 14:01, 28 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I still don't see that you understand the problems with your past conduct (which concerned more than just one article), and you still haven't indicated what you'd do if unblocked. Huon (talk) 14:28, 28 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

I can't understand why you are being so restrictive. The block actually involves only one article and as I already stated I want to post to the talk page. Please restore my account. AsherTheChamp (talk) 15:38, 28 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Since you are not listening to what you are being told(including about how to edit this page), I have decided to remove your ability to edit this page. You will need to use WP:UTRS to make further appeals, but if they are unproductive you will lose that avenue of appeal too. 331dot (talk) 15:45, 28 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
