Disputing the CSD Request edit

At the request of the Author (who is a direct family member) I am not posting anything except the except material avaible from Amazon and the Publisher.

I do have permission to write a more wikipedia style article once it is released (on the 16th) and there are some independant reviews in the press (to cite) --Aryeh M. Friedman (talk) 06:33, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Try reading Wikipedia:WikiProject_Books/Non-fiction_article and seeing what you can craft from reliable, third party sources - that's your best bet for keeping the article around. 71.204.176.201 (talk) 05:34, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Still looking but most the third party sources I know are still under NDA's with the publisher and/or the author. Also please note dispite my close family ties with the author (my father) we *DO NOT* see eye to eye at all on some of his conclusions... If you need evidence of this I can fwd some of the email debate we had on chapt. 9 where the arg had to end before it ruined our son/father relationship beyond damage (specifically my liking of a book he considers to be pro-industry) --Aryeh M. http://www.booksamillion.com/ncom/books?isbn=0230600972#customer-reviews contains a review I wrote of the book for one of the online bookstores which both the publisher and the author asked me to have removed (see relevent passage from email below) ... this review is what caused the requirement that I can only post what is on the publishers site and/or any of the online retailers until there is some 3rd party press review
At the author's request (who is also a family member of mine) please
either delete my review of the above title or make it so it will not
show up until there are at least 6 other reviews.... The direct URL is

Just so you do know Wikipedia outlines its criteria for notability for books here. Bvlax2005 (talk) 09:18, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

M -- Since my dad prefers that I do not write the article can you do a ground up rewrite? Also he said he doesn't mind having a WP article on him but everything being equal prefers not to (yes I know it needs to be there to for citation standards) --Aryeh M. Friedman (talk) 00:55, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Of course I can, but the book notability criteria has to be met, and as the book just went into sale last week (at least in Amazon), it is better to wait and see if it gets enough press coverage (book reviews) to gain notability. The material you have here are good enough to start the article, just need to get rid of the text from the book jacket, so hold on a bit. Also, I first need to finish reading the book, as you know, I do not like to write about books I have not read. --Mariordo (talk) 11:45, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
