Re: Thankx

edit

You're welcome! I'd be glad to help you with an article, however, according to your contributions, you've been working on several. I'm afraid I'm not sure specifically which one you're referring to. Sophus Bie (talk) 10:23, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Anyway, I have to go to bed, since it is 4:00 AM in my time zone. I'll be back online sometime next afternoon or evening. While I'm gone, if you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. You can also experiment with test edits at the sandbox if you need to. Hope this helps. Sophus Bie (talk) 11:18, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

IREL

edit

I have moved Irel to User:Arsmin/sandbox. The first problem was lack of context. If you are writing an article here about a company, you do not start with "India has large reserves of beach sand minerals", you start with "Indian Rare Earths Ltd. is a company …". On further examination, I see that the text may well be a copyright violation. If the company is notable, please re-write the article in your own words and post it at Indian Rare Earths Ltd. (with a redirect at IREL).

Also, what on earth was this edit about? — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 13:59, 14 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Nanjil nadar

edit

The article Nanjil nadar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I can find no sources to corroborate what exactly "Nanjil nadar" is, and this article is a nonsensical, rambling piece primarily on tangentially related history that doesn't say anything about what this article is supposed to be about. Is it a person who is a member of the Nadar caste? Is it a village? I can find no sources to establish the notability of whatever this article is supposed to be about, the references given in the article that I could check out show nothing.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —KuyaBriBriTalk 20:58, 30 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer be able to have them marked as minor by default. For more information on what a minor edit is, see WP:MINOR or feel to get in touch.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 22:38, 13 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Idai Nadu

Your contributed article, Idai Nadu

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Idai Nadu. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Kanyakumari. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Kanyakumari – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Safiel (talk) 04:59, 12 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
